Here's another version of Tulle.  Can't see too well in photo but I put it behind the die cut.  Looks nice in real time.  I used  lipstick & marmalade oxide inks  & die cut it.

Sharon did this beautiful background using oxide inks  and the new dragonfly dies set from StampinUp.  I need to get out these inks and play again.

This card is one that Pam made for our shoe box group.  I like this paper.

Sharon did this card for shoe box.  Great paper and the horse stamp is gorgeous

I forgot to tell you that the things I ordered from Winnie & Walter came tied with bakers twine with a small stamped image and a hand written note thanking me for my order.  FIRST CLASS!!
This is my third  butterfly card that I did for shoe box.  I used the StampinUp Swallowtail stamp.  I like the "in flight" look of  this. That was achieved  by gluing the body only  to the bottom one and using two pop ups together. The silver embossing is beautiful in real life.  Washi tape finishes it off.  I must tell you about a new company that I ordered some dies & stencils from.  It is Winnie & Walter.  The dies came with a magnetic strip.  Much better than the double sided tape  that is so hard to get the die off of.   That's much better because that is the way I store my dies.  A big plus. I ordered on Thurs., shipped on Fri. & I got it yesterday.  On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say 12!  I'll use them again! Great company!

My cards for shoe box were all butterflies.  Here's my second one.  A butterfly shaker card.

Friday, July 21, 2017

This was one of my shoe box cards. First I spritzed watercolor paper with water and then used the new oxide inks to create a background.  then used the die to cut out .  I used the left overs to stamp the greeting and cut that out with the "clean up" die from the StampinUp Floral thinlets.  I stamped the butterfly and then used dobbers to color the butterfly.  Wink of Stella was put on the butterfly.  Looks better in real time.  For some reason the Stella does not photograph well.

This was one of my swap cards I made last month.  I saw a card on
Pinterest that I cased.  I think the way they ran the striped paper was interesting so I scrounged my stash of striped paper and made the card. Had to put on my thinking cap because I had only two sheets of 6x6 paper & did not want to mess it up!

I never get tired of this stamp set.  It is one I bought when I first started stamping.  It's StampinUp and has been retired forever.  The birthday is also retired or the company is out of business, I'm not sure.

Here's a card that Pam made for shoe box.  I had to redo my twine on my card because it was all wonky.

This is a card that Sharon designed for shoe box last month.  love the color combo and the doilies.

This card was one I made for the fund raiser.  I ended up putting three tiny pearls on each of the butterflies which made it look a lot better.  Guess I didn't get a picture of that though.

Another swallowtail card.  What a great source the internet is for card ideas.  I love the pop up when you open the card. I hope  you can  tell how it works from the pictures.  I think I would leave the 3rd section off the next one I make because it sorta gets in the way of the butterfly when you open the card.  Hope that makes sense.

I bought this tulle @ Christmas for the mantle and didn't use it.  Then I saw a video using tulle on Jennifer McGuire's site.  If you  follow my blog you will see that I have used it quite a lot.  This was my shoe box card last month.  I  used it to cover the front of the  card & put the cupcake on top.  I plan to use it on my Christmas cards.

Another waterfall card.  This is a Magenta stamp that I have had ever since I started stamping.  I finished my July birthday cards yesterday.  I absolutely love the oxide inks and now they have 12 more new colors that I think are better than the first ones. A couple I probably would not use much but it cheaper to buy the whole lot.  What to do??

I decided to try a new color cs called sweet sugarplum.  This is the first card I made using it. Shoe box was fun and we made some very nice cards that I will have to get uploaded so I can show them to y'all.

Here is another waterfall card. This is a  Hero Arts stamp set with 4 different flowers.  The one you see is my favorite from the set.

Thursday, July 6, 2017

Good Morning.  I made some waterfall cards but can't figure out a way to show the waterfall part so I'll just show the card unopened.  This is my least favorite of the 4 that I made.  The last one opens to say  Happy birthday.

Here was one of my shoe box cards from last month.  Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist.  WOW you can really see the Wink of Stella in this picture.  Guess I over did it.

Happy Fourth of  July everyone!  I tried to post a red white & blue card but couldn't get it to post & I don't have one on hand.  Here is a sympathy card I sent to our good friend Ron.  Margie was a very talented artist and a very good friend of mine.  RIP Margie.  I'm going to keep their bird while he visits his sister in Arizona. I'm Leary but determined to do my best.  I'll keep you posted.

WOW seems like a long time since I posted & it was just Friday.  Maybe because I made several cards and experimented with some new ideas.  This is another Tulle card.  I like shaker cards but find they are a pain.  I made a birthday card for our 3 yr. old great grand & think I finally figured out the best way to do  it.  Shoe box is Sat. & I have my three cards done.  Hope I can remember how I did them when the time comes.  Ha!
