Wishing each of you a very Merry Christmas and good fortune in the new year.

This card was one Pam did for shoe box.

Thursday, December 14, 2017

I forgot to show you what Denise did with snow flakes on this card I posted this morning, guess it was my caffeine deprived brain malfunction!
Denise did this card for shoe box.  Sorry the picture is so light.  I still don't have the hang of this camera.  Such a cute snow man!

Well, plans have changed again.  Joe's Mom is still hanging on so we decided to stay put until she passes.  What a roller coaster ride for Joe.  He just can't decide what to do. I really feel for him.
I am showing you another card I made for my friend.  This tree is from the StampinUp  set Lovely as a tree.  Don't think I have ever used this stamp.

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

This is a very old stamp.  I think I usually embossed it.  I am partial to red and green Christmas cards.

We are leaving in the morning for Indiana.  We decided to go to my twin sisters in Pendelton In. first to see they're   new house and then come home from Evansville.

Monday, December 11, 2017

This is another card using the Christmas Tree embossing folder.  I just changed up the colors.

Friday, December 8, 2017

This is one of my favorites of the cards I made for my friend.  I love the gold and cream color combo.

Thursday, December 7, 2017

This card is silver and navy.  Doesn't show up very well.  Can't have anything to do with the photographer.  Absolutely the camera's fault!  Today I am baking and finishing up my shoe box cards for Sat.  I did get the house decorated so that's a plus.

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

Another Christmas card.   This is a stamp I bought when I first started stamping. The corners are Washi tape.  The star is a punch.

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

We are back.   The trip was great.  So nice to see old friends.  I was ask to make some Christmas cards for a friend.  Since it is Dec. I thought I would show them to you this week.  This is an embossing folder.  Simple enough just added the bling.

Monday, November 20, 2017

The new computer is spectacular!  So fast and hopefully much better than the last one.  I have been busy making some cards for a friend,  Lots of Christmas cards which I plan to show you in December. We leave tomorrow for Ca. for Thanksgiving and then to Nevada and Tucson on the way back,  Not exactly back, round about!  This was one of my shoe box cards.  This die is one of my favorites.

Thursday, November 16, 2017

My computer would not stay on so I couldn't post.  Joe ordered a new one for me so I'm not going to post for a few days.

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Liz made this beautiful card for our swap.  I truly love this die. I don't think I have ever used this color combo.  It is soft and very pretty

Monday, November 13, 2017

This is one of the dies in the Tim Holtz  Mixed Media 2 set. which is new to me.   I bought it because of this swirl but had a hard time with it because it is so big.  I tried inking it and that makes a very suttle background.  I'll have to play with that this week.

Friday, November 10, 2017

I was playing with alcohol inks yesterday.  I put 5 colors on a felt applicator and then added  blending fluid and pounced it onto a coated card stock.  I thought it was too intense so I then pounced on just the blending fluid which toned it down a lot.  It was fun and every one came out differently.  Here's the results of one of them.

Thursday, November 9, 2017

This is a really pretty card that I received in a swap.  I believe it was done by Liz.  the paper is an "In" color of Stampin Up but it is a close match to the Twisted Citron new oxide ink color.

Wednesday, November 8, 2017

This is the last of the shoe box cards we did for October.  This is another flower stamp in the Tim Holtz set that Pam brought for us.   We stamped it twice and then colored it with water color pencils and moved the color around with a water brush.

Tuesday, November 7, 2017

Pam brought this card for us to color for shoe box.  The flower  is  a Tim Holtz.  stamp.  Very nice flower.

Monday, November 6, 2017

This beautiful card was made for shoe box by Denise.  Love the color combo. She does lots of layers on her cards.  I missed a white layer but it turned out OK, you just see more of the DS paper.

Friday, November 3, 2017

I love this card that Sharon did for shoe box.  The background is done with Oxide inks.  The die is Tim Holtz Mixed Media.  It's my favorite of the set.

Thursday, November 2, 2017

This card was made by Sharon.  The stamps are Dead Beat Designs. Nice card.  I started working on my Christmas cards.  They are going to be time consuming

Wednesday, November 1, 2017

I am going to show the  shoe box cards we made this month.  The first one was made by Denise.  We used a dobber to apply the color.  Every one's  turned out differently.  We embossed then colored and wiped off the excess color.

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Here's a sympathy card I made for my nephews wife.  The base is gray and I was going to cut the layer down so you could see that but that would have ruined the die so I did't.  I rarely use flowers any more.  Wish someone would make the Prima flowers again.

Monday, October 30, 2017

Another Fall card.  I did this one for my monthly swap.  I got this die for my Christmas cards last year.  I am surprised that I have used it for other cards, always a plus!

Friday, October 27, 2017

Here is my swap for Oct.  Oxide inks again.  I failed to mention in yesterdays post
that the background  leaves were stamped with water.  A fun technique with Oxide inks.

Thursday, October 26, 2017

Here's a birthday card I made for my friend Pam.  I love playing with the Oxide inks!

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

Here's the birthday card I made for Levi, our great grandson who will be 2 on the 30th.  Started out to be a slider card but knowing him I decided he might get the pennies, swallow them and decided to do a wabble card instead.  It really does move a lot in real life and I know he and his brother will be fascinated.  Sorry the picture is not good.  Can't decide why it is so bright which certainly takes away from the card.  Still playing with the new camera.  The card is already in the mail so I can't re-take it.

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Here's my second shoe box card.  I colored the brick embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink and then blotted it lightly so that the color was not so bold.  Also stamped on the ribbon, something I have not done for years.  I noticed that the picture yesterday was blurry.  Still getting use to my new camera.  Sorry!

Monday, October 23, 2017

Saturday was Shoe Box here.  Great cards and lots of fun!  I made this fall card which was a new fun fold for me. I spend yesterday trying to get use to my new camera.  I ordered green paper on Amazon so I can get started on my Christmas cards when it arrives.  A busy week.  Just the way I like it!

Friday, October 20, 2017

Had to do a static something or other on the computer this morning. Don't know what I'd do without my computer guru!  I was playing around with some fall cards this week and looking for something to use for shoe box.  This one I'll use as a Thanksgiving card for my SIL who always sends Thanksgiving and Easter cards which I rarely think to do until we get hers.

Thursday, October 19, 2017

I made this birthday card  for I grandson for his birthday. The background is Hero Arts. I bought this leaf stamp when I first started stamping.

Wednesday, October 18, 2017

This was a card I made for shoe box last fall.  I have a lot of irons in the fire right now so I decided to use it as a birthday card for my Sister In Law.  I probably posted it then  but I don't have a lot of cards made at the moment.  This is a Kalidacolor  ink pad
called Creole Spice.  Great color combo for fall!

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Here's my last hand made birthday card.  I received this from my SIL  She has a friend who is into stamping.

Monday, October 16, 2017

Another birthday card.  This one was from Renee in Arizona.  I like all thjs
 patterned paper together.

Friday, October 13, 2017

This pretty card was done by my friend in Tucson, Opal.  The stamping club there has 60 members.  Hard to believe.  That's too big for me!

Thursday, October 12, 2017

As I  continue showing my hand made
birthday cards, here is one I received from Pam.  Nice coloring of the flowers.

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

My third birthday card was made by Julie.  Really pretty.

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

I received this card from Denise.Love this paisley paper! Off to San Antonio for a "Junkin" trip.  I hope to find some treasures that I can re purpose.  Of course I'll hit Hobby Lobby too.

Monday, October 9, 2017

I thought it would be fun to show you my hand made birthday cards.  Here's the one I received from Sharon.  Love this paper and design.

Friday, October 6, 2017

I've been working mostly on some craft items this week.  I had to make a sympathy card for our neighbor.  I like the way this one turned out.  I colored the flower with Peacock Feathers oxide ink. Not a bad match with this retired Lost Lagoon paper.

Thursday, October 5, 2017

I made this as my swap card.  I was playing around with my oxide green inks.  Not my best effort.  have to try hard this month. I do like these funky flowers by Magenta.

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

This card was made by Pam for our shoe box group.  You can never go wrong with butterflies!

Tuesday, October 3, 2017

This was a card that Denise did for shoe box.  It is a nice design. You pull on the bluebonnet and the  greeting shows and then it opens up so you can add something on the inside.  I should have taken a picture of that too.  My camera is broken and needs to be replaced so I can't take a picture.

Monday, October 2, 2017

I  am back to blogging again.  We had a nice trip and I need to get some cards made.  This is a shoe box card that Sharon made for September.  Love this layout and the

Thursday, September 14, 2017

Here's Joe's Mothers birthday card.  She is celebrating her 100th birthday on the 17th.  We leave in the morning to help her celebrate and then on to Minnesota which is the only state I have not been to  so I can check that off my bucket list.
