We're heading to California for the holidays. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and the best to you and your family in 2017. I used part of a stamp to make the scene behind the window & embossed it with a sparkly embossing powder. I had 1 sheet of red and green card stock when I was finished . That's a little too close for comfort!

Here's another Z Fold card. They are fun to make! Looks like I am going to get everything done before we leave on Tues. That'll be a first!

Friday, December 16, 2016

I received this Christmas card from one of the swaps I'm in. I believe it was done by Liz. Hope that's right, I just don't know for sure. it really is a beautiful design and I think all the components are StampinUp.

This is another Christmas card that Sharon did for shoe box in November. Love the surprise on the inside!

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Sharon made this card for our November shoe box group. Too cute!

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

Here's Trev's card closed. Forgot to show you that yesterday. Also I am going to post some Christmas that my friends have made over the next few days. Nice to have such talented friends! We did this card for shoe box. Denise designed it. Very nice.

Monday, December 12, 2016

Here is Trever's birthday card. He has a collection of guitars so this card was perfect for him. He actually has a green, yellow & red one.

Friday, December 9, 2016

Denise did this Christmas card for shoe box. Lots of layering on this one. Very nice.

Thursday, December 8, 2016

Here's a card I made a while ago as one of my swap cards. It's very simple but I like it. Stamping the happy was a bit of a challenge because of the placement.

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

Here's another spinner card I made. The possibilities are endless. This die set makes it so easy. I'll probably always use the curvy one as shown here because it really spins well.

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

I made this spinner card for a former Auxiliary member that has moved away. 90 is a big deal and I know she'll love it. You can use about any image to make these cards. Fun, fun, fun

Monday, December 5, 2016

We did this card in shoe box. First we used a die to cut out the butterfly on the front of the card, then we stamped the happy birthday and ran it through using this embossing folder. Next we stamped the butterfly and attached it to the inside of the card, lining it up through the opening. The butterfly is embossed in gold and colored with a marker (I think). Nice design by Sharon.

Friday, December 2, 2016

Julie made this card for shoe box. The paper is beautiful and the picture does it no justice. It is velvet. Beautiful! The font is nice also.

Thursday, December 1, 2016

Denise showed us how to make this card for shoe box. We embossed the butterfly in gold on vellum, cut it out and colored it on the back. Such a pretty look.

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

Today I hope to do a little Christmas decorating. I got all the fall stuff put away. I did this bookmark card for one of my shoe box groups. Love this color. Lost Lagoon.

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

I finished the Christmas cards yesterday. All I need is stamps. Yesterday was our turkey day since Joe is feeling better. Now I need to clean up my stamp room and of course the kitchen is disasterville! This is a card I made for our daughter for her birthday. She loves pink so I had to add a little pink.

Monday, November 28, 2016

We are back. Cruise was just OK. Azamara can't pony up to Regent! Spent Sat. morning in the ER. Poor Joe had a bad sore throat and could not eat or drink since Thursday morning. Got a steroid to bring down the swelling and an IV to hydrate him. Finally this morning he is feeling better. Maybe we'll be able to do our "Thanksgiving" today. This card was one I made for shoe box. I'm posting it for our Thanksgiving greetings to you all. I painted the leaves with Wink of Stella and it really ramped it up a notch.

Wednesday, November 9, 2016

Here's an old stamp that I used to put bluebonnets in a pocket. I first stamped some grass but that is hard to see. A busy day today. We leave for Houston tomorrow and then to Miami for our cruise. Joe was helping change sheets this morning and agreed to make the bed every day for the next two weeks. I in turn said I would cook and do dishes. See why we are working on our 56th year together. So compatible! Ha! href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-voHzGK9aPJ0/WCMp5xohNtI/AAAAAAAAIpk/vq_Y_FDgeSsv9YaYFssMdZbz-DVLiE3AwCLcB/s1600/IMG_0265.JPG" imageanchor="1" > pocket.

Tuesday, November 8, 2016

I received this swap card from Sharon. I love the design and the star die is great! I got rid of all my "fibers" because I never used them. Now I'm going to have to grow my collection back!

Monday, November 7, 2016

My friend is celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. I made this card for them.

Friday, November 4, 2016

This is not a very good picture of the card that Denise made for our shoe box group. Love the copper embellishment. Shoe Box is tomorrow and I am in a panic. Can't come up with something I like. I'll try again today

Thursday, November 3, 2016

This card was one that we did for shoebox. Pam designed this one. The tiny butterflies were added because I had inky fingers! She had a bow @ the top of the bakers twine but I added a butterfly to tie it all together.

Wednesday, November 2, 2016

Here's a card that Denise did for shoe box. Look @ the clever way she used layers as embellishments.

Tuesday, November 1, 2016

Pam showed us how to use this pleated design that is very popular right now. She even gave us each a diagram so that we can make it again.

Monday, October 31, 2016

I made this card for shoe box. I usually use this stamp with a flower set that I have had since I first started stamping. I like this flourish stamp a lot and the way this turned out. Also like this corner punch a lot. Didn't use it much when I first bought it but now that I have learned to turn it over to punch so I can get the corners all punched right you see a lot of it.

Friday, October 28, 2016

Julie made this card when we got together for shoe box. Nice colors together!

Thursday, October 27, 2016

Here's another Texas card I did a while back. I finally have a Christmas card idea. I really need to get them done since we will be gone for 2 weeks in November.

Wednesday, October 26, 2016

Here's Levi's birthday card. I was going to re-do it but time got away from me. He's 1 so he won't care. On the next one, I will put the balloons closer together and make the "strings" shorter.

Tuesday, October 25, 2016

This card is simple and easy to put together. The Pacific Point cardstock is a little bright for my taste. Yes, I do a lot of butterflies because I really like them!

Monday, October 24, 2016

Once I figured this spinner card out, I love making them. I will be putting some in the gift shop @ the Point. Lots of possibilities. This curved one really spins.

Friday, October 21, 2016

Here's on of my shoe box cards for this month. The leaves are embossed with some embossing powder that I have had for a long time. They still work which amazes me. I struggled to make two cards this month and finally made this one that I like.

Thursday, October 20, 2016

I love this embossing folder by Darcie. I used a circle die and stamped on the white just for something different. It was a little tricky to get it centered.

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Here's the card I made for Marilyn. For the butterfly I took 3 alcohol inks, two blue and one green and put it on glossy paper then cut out the butterfly. I had a 50% off coupon so I bought this butterfly die with 4 stamps of butterflies. The solid butterfly only embosses the pattern. On only one can you see the green ink. That's Ok, I like the card.

Tuesday, October 18, 2016

I can't remember to whom I sent this birthday card. I am blaming it on my lack of caffeine. This is a great stamp that I rarely use. Once I sponged colors on tile, then stamped this for a friend who had a den with animal print decorations. She never used them, said they were too pretty to use because she was afraid of messing them up. Go figure! Maybe I'll try that again with Alcohol inks.

Monday, October 17, 2016

Here's a gate fold Texas card I made. Love this stamp and the ink pad is Creole Spice by Kaleidacolor. I need to get some stamping done this week and Wed. is shoe box. I always look forward to that!

Friday, October 14, 2016

Denise made this card for shoe box last month. She has incredible Texas/Western themed dies & stamps.

Thursday, October 13, 2016

Sharon made this card for shoe box last month. I love the fancy fold and have really liked this StampinUp set Gorgeous Grunge.

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

we lost power yesterday for just a second. Just enough time to have to reset all the clocks grrrrrr! Now this morning when I went to post it keeps going back to the last icon I was on. Very frustrating & the reason I am just now posting. I tried rebooting but that didn't work and I am not sure how i GOT here now. Anyway this pretty card was one that Pam made for shoe box last month. Very nice.

Tuesday, October 11, 2016

I bought this paper last time we were in San Antonio. Did not realize how bright it was. I'm blaming it on the florescent lights in the store. I made this card but I will never use this rest of this paper, way to loud for me.

Monday, October 10, 2016

Here's another Texas card. Didn't get the card at a very good angle. I worked on a couple of new designs yesterday. We went to the Celtic festival yesterday and had lunch out. That's my kind of day!

Friday, October 7, 2016

I borrowed this stamp from Sharon and made this card. I think it would look nice embossed with silver. I'm going to try that this week.

Thursday, October 6, 2016

This is a nice technique that Denise did for shoe box. Love this patterned paper!

Wednesday, October 5, 2016

This is a card I amde for shoe box. The strips of black is card stock that I glued on to accent the flowers.
