This birthday card is one of those I made this weekend.  I need to get my July cards made because I am going back to Trev's to finish up the accessories for his house.

I made my two swap cards and a couple of birthday cards this weekend and cleaned my stamp room.  It was really a mess.  I made this birthday card for a friend.  I hope she has a good book going so she can use the bookmark.

I had to make a graduation card for a great niece.  I decided to use the colors in her announcement.  Gray and blue.  Here's what I came up with.  I hope it looks like a cap and gown.  Jury is still out on that!

I made this card for Rosanne for her birthday and made her the cake called "Sinful".  It's one of Joe's favorites and he made me promise that I would  bring a piece home for him.  What's not to like with chocolate cake, condensed milk and caramel
ice cream topping, cool whip & crushed up heath candy bars???

Here's the card I made for Denise for her birthday.  She likes brown so that was an easy starting point.  Met her in Fredericksburg for lunch @ Peach Tree.  Then I hit all the junk stores there.  I really like this paper

Here's my shoe box card I made when Julie and I got together.  Missed you Denise!  This blue is Pacific Point.  I cut out two flowers and popped the second one up.

Here's a card that Sharon made for shoe box.  Very nice design and use of pattern pap
er.  Wish I was better at that!  The spellbinders die is Labels Twenty.  Finished my book so now maybe I can get some stamping done.  Laundry and cleaning is on my agenda today.

Pam's  second card for our shoe box group.  Love this saying and the card layout.  I'll have to remember and try  this layout.

Sharon did this card for our shoe box.  I am always amazed at her ability to put several pieced of patterned paper together and make it look so good.  I simply can't do that!.

This card was designed by Pam.  I really like the twine and the way she used it with the little piece of burlap.

This was my second shoe box card.  The background stamp is from Impression Obsession.  I recently ordered it.  It is a second and cost $5.  Didn't know that until I placed the order.  I can't see what's wrong with it so that good! This is a nice saying!

Shoe box was Saturday so I'll show you the cards we made.   They were all very nice.  This is the first one I made.  Colors are chocolate Pool Party & Sahara Sand  The stamps are from a long ago retired set from StampinUp.  I'll always keep this set.  The other flower in the set is an Allium which makes for a nice masculine card.  The trim is some I've had forever!

How's this for clean and simple?  I needed a quick card to send to a friend.  Julie gave me a package  of flowers so I pulled them out and here's the results. I really like the look of color on color or in this case white on white.  I've a busy day today with shoe box here tomorrow, a dirty house and no clue as to what I will serve for lunch.

I am pecking away at the birthday cards I need to get done for June.  Here's one I made this morning.  Pretty simple.  I have not used these colors in a long time.  Not Quite Navy (retired) and Pear Pizzazz.  I don't use this candle punch much but I like that on this card too.

I never got around to posting yesterday.  House cleaning & laundry  got in the way.  Some one is having a card shower for a 95 yr. old so, since I got such a nice response when we did it for Joe's Mom, I decided to contribute.  Haven't been doing much stamping since I got home from Trev's.  I do need to try to get some done this week.  I did another bird house chandelier and have been busy working on that.  Pretty time consuming.  The die is call Flowers and Petals.  Don't know where I got it but it is probably Spellbinders.

Another Auxiliary birthday card.  Love this saying, don't know why I don't use it more!  I worked on another  bird house chandelier  this weekend for the gift shop.  I decided to keep the first one I made because it is so fun and  unique.  Now Joe likes this one better. Which to keep??  Lots to do today.  Stamping some cards needs to be a part of that.  We'll see.

I made this card for an auxiliary member for her birthday.  Not one that I really liked but had to get it in the mail.  I hope the creative juices show up sometime soon.  I've got a few more cards I need to get done.

This is a card I like.  Crumb Cake and C antelope.  I never use the corner punch because I can't seem to get the inserted paper cut to fit.  Seem there is always a little space where the insert doesn't quite fit.  Here's my secret and you will see me use more of these punches now that I figured it out.  I just glued a small piece of cs to the back and you can't tell that I did that. Yea!  Yes, right down in the lower right corner.

I think this  was my swap card.  Too many things have passed through my foggy brain to remember for sure.  I'm kinda in a funk when it comes to stamping these days.  Can't come up with cards I really like.  I did do one yesterday for a birthday that I liked.  I'll post it tomorrow.  Have a happy day!

Tuesday, June 2, 2015

We got home Sunday. late afternoon.  I was wiped out yesterday.  My ankles look like  cantelopes, too much sitting.
Trev and I had a great time and accomplished a lot.  He had the whole house painted inside, we order blinds and shutters and got his kitchen usable.  The house is very nice.  Some interesting curtain configurations.  In the master they had black out shades on one rod and then some  Crossill damask drapes as a liner and then sheers.  Took all that down and made valances out of the Crossill  drapes that I hung in the dining room.  We shopped the consignment stores and let me tell you Trev was skeptical.  First one we visited was a total washout.  Prices too high and lots of junk.  Next one was a jackpot!  We bought a custom made dining room set with 8 chairs.  Next two linen chairs for the living room and a picture and another linen chair that is a script print that will never be out of style for the master.  On a roll here!  Joe went to a local hardware store and when he came out he said there is a coffee table and side table at a thrift shop next door that is $15.  You should go look so I did.  Very nice, solid oak with mirror inserts.  I bought a little trinket and ask if the mirrors came out.  the man said yes they did and was I thinking about buying them.  I said yes, he said we have no room for this and make me an offer.  I said $10 and he said sold. Bingo!    Joe and I went back to pay for the dining room set on Mon. and we stopped in a parking lot so Joe could look up the consignment shop address and there was a Salvation Army, I went in and looked around and saw a lamp that was really nice for $12.99.  We found the consignment shop and a white mirror for over the fireplace and I ask Joe to take me back to Salvation Army for the lamp.  It was "senior" day so the lamp cost $9.75.  I painted it silver and bought a white shade and it looks great.  Trev just shook his head.  I thought that was suspect but he assured me that it was a great buy & he liked it a lot.  Long story short, I will be going back on the 30th to help finish up and will take pictures of all this stuff.

Here's a card I made for one of my swaps.  Something a little different.  It's nice to be home but was a fun adventure!
