This is Julie's shoe box card that inspired my card from yesterday.  Love the colors!  I used to stamp then use an embossing folder.  Haven't done that in a long time.  That's what makes shoe box so fun, new ideas or a reminder of things you've done in the past.

Joe re-installed my card reader so I am back in business.  This card was inspired by one that Julie did for our shoe box group.  She embossed vellum flowers and used markers to color the back.  I have not done that in a long time.  I needed to send a birthday card so I used that technique.
This morning my computer will not load the pictures of the cards I made this week.  Don't know what the problem is or how to fix it! grrrrrrrrr!

This card I made for my larger swap group.  I like the way it turned out and I used some ribbon I bought when we went shopping.  Gingham always works for me!

Here is my second shoe box card.  I have had this stamp
for a long time.  It is from Too Much Fun.  I bought it because we had 8 grandsons that I make birthday cards for. Another simple, quick card.

This is one of my shoe box cards.  I made two since they are super simple.  I'll show you the other one tomorrow.  This happy birthday is a die.  Pretty hard to glue down and probably more stable if you used metalic gold, silver or copper paper.  There's a learning curve here.  When you remove it from the die it tends to stretch so here's what I did.  I ordered a roll of Scoore Tape that is 1 1/2 inches wide.  Cost a  fortune in postage but since I am spending the kids money that's OK!  I glued one side to card stock and then cut the die.  Before removing it from the die I
removed the backing then  I punched out all the pieces,
then placed it over where I wanted to place it on the card front then punched it out and glued it down.  Hopefully I'll get better at it. I did the birthday first since it is  bigger. Theembossing folder is a Darcie which is new.  I really like it

I received this card from Royce  in our monthly swap.  So funny!

Here's a sympathy card I made for the sunshine committee @ the point.  The embossing folder and stamp is StampinUp.

Here's a simple card I made using a die from My Favorite Things and a piece of paper I found when going  through my paper scra[s.  Works pretty well with Cantelope.  Let's hope we get the rain we have been promised but not before I go to the grocery!

I made this card as an all purpose card.  Can be used as a sympathy, get well or birthday card just by adding a sentiment.  I should keep more of these on hand.  Had a great time  shopping with one of my shoe box groups last Sat. and yesterday made cards with my second shoe box group, always a fun time.  I've had a "hsappy" week!

Sympathy cards are always hard for me to make.  I should do some just to keep on hgand but of course I never get that done.  The bottom of the card is a die called Fancy Ribbon Threader.

It has felt like spring here the last couple of days.  I made this card last week.  Remember when it was all the rage to use the StampinUp bird punch to make a tulip.  Here's my very springy card.

This simple thinking of you card I made this past week because I was going through my patterned paper scraps and I liked this piece .  The saying is Hero Arts.  I really like this font.

I sent this birthday card out this week.  I inked the stamp with markers and then spritzed with water and stamped.  This is the second try and much better than the first one.  I kind of
like the shabby look.  Any body want to campaign with me to bring back Brilliant Blue card stock and ink. I'd even buy one of StampinUp's new ink pad for BB.

This is a get well card I made for the Sunshine committee.  Haven't done this color combonation in a long  time. I was going through my patterned scrap drawer and deecided to go with this pink & brown.

I had to make a sympathy card thgis week.  I redid this one.  I tried using vellum but that did not work so I left it overnight and then changed it up.  This looks bettr!

I am really loving this Work of Art stamp set.  I made this card yesterday and it came together very quickly.  Believe it or not this ink is Baja Breeze by stamping it several times it is close to Lost  Lagoon.  Close enough for me any way.

I had to make a masculine thank you card.  I haven't done one  for awhile. Here's the results.  I spent the last couple of days making cards for the Sunshine committee.  Sympathy cards are really hard for me.  I need to get one in the mail today.  Great way to spend a drizzly weekend!

I received this great card from Marcy in our monthly  swap.  Do I need another flower stamp?  Will I buy it anyway?  All you stampers out there know the answer to these questions!!

Thursday, March 5, 2015

Here is my  swap card that I made for my smaller group.  I made the circle by using two Nesties.  Cutting the flowers was pretty tedious & I was glad when I got them finished.

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

Today I am showing you a card that we did in shoe box last week.  Julie made this simple but elegant card. I did get a card made yesterday and need to start on my birthday cards for March.  I don't have many to do this month.

This was one of the shoe box cards we made.  Denise did this design.  We colored with the StampinUp blendabilities.  They are nice but I don't need any more coloring options.  ,Love the spring colors, Mellon Mambo & Certainly Celey.

This card was one we did for shoe box that Sharon designed.  She bpought these cards with the circles already cut.  She had us draw the circles in pencil before we stamped.  As you can see my ce flowers are not centered very well. I going with the idea that they are more centered when the  card is laying flat!  I really like all the different papers layered on this one.
