Here's my swap card. I need to reink my Cherry Cobbler pad.(Thanks Denise for lending me your re-inker). I should just buy a new one but I hate the new StampinUp pads. They simply don't work well. I had fun playing with my new stamps though.

Shoe box yesterday was fun. We got to hear all about Julie's cruise and big win in the casino. Here's the card I CASED for yesterday. Usually if I see something I like I change the colors to make it my own. Didn't do that this time. I really liked how she used the oval and then added a die. Pinterest is a great inspiration but frustrating as well. I clicked off before I thought to see whom I should give credit to and then of course I could not find it again. We all made spring colors, guess we are all tired of winter.

Denise made this card for our shoe box last Sat. The colors are Marina Mist & red. Love the two different ribbons and this color combination. I got my swap cards in the mail and played with my new stamp sets Work of Art and Big Day birthday. Lots to do today, laundry, grocery and picking up Joe's new vehicle and hopefullly finishing up a couple of projects that I started and haven't finished.

The card I posted yesterday was for shoe box not a swap. I did work on my swap card yesterday and hope to finish it today and get it in the mail. I played with alchol inks and glossy paper to make this card. I thought it was too messy to use as my shoe box card. I need to send some get well/thinking of you cards so I will probably use this card for one of those.

Here's one of my swap cards. The dies are from Sizzix. called circle flip card (I think). After several tries, I figured out a way to use these dies to make a full sized card. You don't have to worry about the hight, just the width and put your paper in where you cut only the front portion of the card stock. It is cut just slightly less than 5 1/2 ,but more than 5 1/4. I used red because it was Valentines Day.

I am back. Totally forgot to post on Friday. I usually post firs thing in the morning but the pest control guy was coming early so I was out of my routine. I made this card using a stamp I got for Christmas. It's Impression Obsession and is l called Ornate dandelion. I think it would be very pretty embossed. Shoe Box was fun on Sat., and we

I have had this embossing folder for a long time and I think I have used it maybe twice. Once I used white paper & I tried to color in all the candles in different colors and then did the flames in stickles. It looked awful. Can't say this is much of an improvement but @ least I used this folder!

I finished up my February birthday cards yesterday and even started on one of my shoe box cards. I need three of those and my other swap and I am finished with February cards. I have a busy rest of the week so I doubt that will happen but @ least I'm getting there. I haven't decided who gets what card but here's on I did. Wow, all those dots made my eyes do weird stuff!

Remember Rudy? On of my all time challenges that I thought I could never pull off? Yes, I drug my feet for 2 years and in 2014 I thought this is the year that I am going to tackle that project. A short time member of the Auxiliiary said he would do it but then after a few months he brought it bak to me and said he was ill and would not be able to do it. The rooster and some of the nails etc. were given to me by Pam who made one several years ago. I painted mine barn red and got to work. I had to us a dremel because the wood was so hard that I could not hammer it in. drill, hammer, drill hammer. I stopped counting after 40 hours and Joe was starting to grumble about the stuff on the dining room table. I had all the nails, tacks etc. organized and lined up what's the problem?? He sold yesterday and I did not have to require back ground checks or adoption papers because I know the person who purchased him. Now I have mixed emotions, Joe kept saying I should bring him home. Oh well, maybe on to a butterfly.

I made this quick card because I will be sending some cards to Alex to share with his unit. I really love this patterned paper. The die is one I rarely use because it does not look a thing like the die before it is cut out. I bought it @ a convention and of course it was because of all the wonderful samples they had made with it. It is called Nellies Multi Circle Frame, a set of three. Now I am wondering what the smallest one looks like cut. Maybe I'll give that one a try this weekend.

Well, this simple card was a struggle. I could not get the saying stamped straight and the border is off a bit. After three tries that's the way it is! Most of you know how to use the same die and cut it apart to make the navy layer. Just in case, you cut two dies, cut one lenght wise and the other in half and just paste them to the white layer. That's the only thing

Here is my swap card for February 1 (a couple of days late). Pink and crumb cake. The stamp is colored with markers and the stamp is from a very old retired set that has 4 different flowers in it. I will always keep this set. Love the /Cala Lilly and the Iris! My computeer was squirly this morning so I had to wait for the wizzard to fix it. I rebooted twice and then he comes in and does it and it works - - go figure!

Peg requested that I make a card for Mildred who is turning 101 this week. I made this card for her and got it in the mail yesterday. I thought this die was fantastic. Well it is a PIA. I have tried any number of things to glue it to a piece of card stock. First you need extra thick card stock because when you remove it from the die it is very flimsy and streches. Yesterday I used Martha Stewart glue and applied the glue before I took it out of the die. Maybe not brilliant but at least a light bulb moment for me. I could see where I was putting the glue, held it over where I thought it should go and released it. Next time I will use metalic card stock because it is thicker. Still wish I could come up with a spectacular use of this die but to date it eludes me!

I could not get this to post this morning after several trys. I made this card for an Auxiliary member who is celebrating her 84th birthday. Haven't used this combo for awhile. Navy, yellow and white, always makes me happy. This flower can be stamped either this way or up side down. I have seen it both ways.
