Denise's friend was visiting from Michigan and she came for shoe box.  It was fun seeing her again.  She designed this card and walked us through all the folds.  Let me tell you, this was not easy for me.  I must have failed folding in Kindergarten.!  Nice card though.

This card was interesting to make.  We  stamped the images and then cut out what we wanted to use.  Colors are Brown sugar, Tango & Wasabi I think.  Denise always comes up with great color combos.

Julie made this sweet card for our shoe box group.  Very nice design.  Love the cherry on the top!

Good Morning and happy Monday to you all!  I will be showing our second shoe box cards this week.  Here's one I made with my new stamp set and punch Mosaic Madness.  Wouldn't you know it it's on the StampinUp retired list! I think every set I bought this year is on that list.  Too frustrating!

This is the last shoe box card I have to show you.  I'd better get working on my May cards this weekend. Pam designed this one.  Easy and simple.

This card was one from Rose.  It has never happened that two people used the same stamp for a card in any of my shoe box groups. I need to get some stamping done as I will be spending a couple of weeks in Ca. helping our son get his new house in order. It will be fun and challenging. We  get home from a couple weeks  in Indiana and Missouri on Sun and I leave on May 19th.   Gotta get my stuff in order!

This was Sharon's second shoe box card.  We stamped an oval shaped stamp on the printed paper before we stamped the black flower.  Interesting and something I have never done before.  Never used a pop tab on a card either.  That's why I like to attend shoe box, new ideas are always fun and interesting.

I'm still showing cards from our shoe box group.  This card was done by Denise.  The base is Brown Sugar.  I left the sentiment off because I like to have some cards I can pull out for when I need to get stuff in the mail last minute.  I have used this stamp set many many time but have never used the label.  It's very nice so I need to think about using it some time.  Need to work on my second swap card to get in the mail on time for a change.  Maybe I'll get this out & use it.

Pam's SIL Rose came for shoe box.  Here's the card she designed.  I have never used a stencil and I  liked the look.  Was super easy too!  There were three or four different designs on the stencil also.  I'm going to have to look into some of those.

This card was designed by Pam.   We used water color pencils to color the image. Pam makes a killer grilled cheese sandwich which was enjoyed by all!

Thursday, April 16, 2015

Sharon designed this card.  We used dobbers to apply the color.  Mine was darker than most because I had a circle I was trying to cover up.  The mulberry paper was a nice touch.  Remember when it was all the rage?  Woops the happy birthday is crooked.  I'll have to fix that!

This is a fun fold card that Denise designed for shoe box.  Lots of details on this one.  I love this paper and the Indiana Paint brush flower (I think) is a cling stamp by Texana Designs which I have borrowed  to make a few cards.  My other shoe box is today & I need to crack the whip if I expect to get my stamp room cleaned up.  I did the rest of the house yesterday but didn't get to my room to clean.

Here's my second shoe box card.  The stamp set is by  Recollections.  Lots of good stamps in this set.  I used Vellum for the jar and clear embossed it.  The flower is a Hero Arts stamp that I have had forever!  All the cards were exceptional and I will be showing them to you this week.  The label is cork that I found in the $ bin @ Michael's except now the $ bin is now  $1.50.

Saturday was shoe box @ Pam's.  It was a fun day.  Don't know when I laughed so hard! This is one of the cards I made.  I need to keep some sympathy cards made.  It is simple but then I think sympathy cards should be,  not too fussy.  I tried making it a Monarch butterfly because I like yellow/ orange and gray together. Didn't work for me and I think the plain butterfly  looks better any way.

I hope you all have enjoyed my blue bonnet week.  I made these gag gifts "Hill Country Diamond Pins" to put in the gift shop.  Don't have the dimes drilled yet but here's the outside.  One the inside is a dime with a hole drilled and a safety pin.  Too funny and who would think I can sell a dime for a dollar but it happens.  I am painting 2 walls in our bedroom today and then if I am able to  move I will work on the cornice boards  this weekend as well.  Don't know if that will happen since shoe box is tomorrow.

The blue bonnets and poppies growing along the road near Wild Seed Farms outside of Fredericksburg inspired this card.  The colors are Almost Artichoke, red and Brilliant Blue.  Again Denise's blue bonnet die and Making Memories Poppy die.

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

I made this card yesterday after posting the one.  I wanted to try the smaller die using the same stamp.  Can't tell much difference.  I do like the colors I used yesterday better but wanted to change up the colors for this one.  The "howdy" is computer generated.

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

This Texas shaped stamp is a Texana Design stamp.  I stamped it with Indigo Velvet Fresco ink (my favorite navy ink), colored star red and then over layed the Blue Bonnet dies.  I really like the way this turned out!  Probably should have used the smaller bluebonnet die cuts.  Maybe I'll give that a try today!

Monday, April 6, 2015

I am celebrating this gorgeous spring.  Because of all the rain we had over the winter, the blue bonnets are out in splendor.  Therefore I declare this blue bonnet week.
Here is my first card.  The saying is from Dead Beat Designs.  I just computer generated the saying because I don't have the stamp.  I had a small scrap of Brilliant Blue cs that StampinUp discontinued.  Any body know another brand that is close to this color.  If I ever find it I will buy a ream!  The blue bonnet is a die and  Denise cut several out for me.

Friday, April 3, 2015

I made this birthday card this week for a friend.  The stamp is by Stampendous and is one I have not used in awhile.  The card base is Rose Red.

Thursday, April 2, 2015

Here is my swap card I made using the Kenginston Branch die.  Yes, I know cutting out the yellow flowers was a pain.  Could it be I have too much time on my hands?  I used my new Impressions Obsession stamp set which is clear.  There are some very nice sayings in this set.

This was the card that Denise made for shoe box.  Colors are Tango, Wasabi and Pacific Point. Not colors I
would think to  put together but I like it a lot.
