Wishing each of you a beautiful Christmas filled with all that makes you happy.

We are blessed with good friends, family, great neighbors  and decent health so that makes us happy.  We plan to use this coming year to do some things on our bucket list while we are still able.

We are hoping that the new year brings a cure to cancer, a "united" United States that takes care of "our  people" first and stops giving our money to countries that expect it and hate us as a result.

Off my soap box and on to cooking!

I hit publish too soon.  We leave today for Ca. and then on to Hawaii.  We get back in Dec.  I'll start posting again in January.

Linda
I made this card for a person who likes bright colors.  I think I nailed the bright colors thing!

Another birthday card using my new stamp set Serene Silhouettes.  I finished up all my cards through mid Dec. so I am ready to go crusin!

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

I have been playing with two new stamp sets. Serene Silhouettes  and Vivid Vases..  This one is pretty bold.

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

Here's my second thank you card.  I forgot I had this vertical thank you stamp.    Something a little different.

Monday, November 9, 2015

I had to make a couple of thank you cards this past week.  Here's one of them.  I got a little stamping done yesterday afternoon.  Finished all my Nov. cards and started working on early Dec. cards.  The bazaar was good.  We ran out of food which is a good thing!

Friday, November 6, 2015

This was a card I made for one of my swaps.  I forgot to take a picture and for some reason I have the image stamped and mounted so I duplicated  it.  Joe reminded me last night that next Fri. we are heading to LA and then our cruise to Hawaii.  YIKES!  Guess I'll do the best to get my Christmas cards started, get the house in order since I have spend so much time on the bazaar,  etc. etc.I have lots of early Dec.  birthday cards I need to get ready. too. We'll see.

Here is Keely's birthday card.  We made this in shoe box and Denise designed it.  I was short on time so I reworked it and made it into a birthday card for her.  She loves pink and so that was easy!  I should have taken a picture of the original card but as I said, I was short on time and I did not even think about it.

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

This was my swap card.  I colored the stamp with blue and green stamp pads and  mounted it on navy cs.  I used a Spellbinders die to do the tag and reacquainted myself with this clear stamp.  I like the font a lot.

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

This card was made by Denise for shoe box.  I needed a guy thank you card so I changed it to thank you instead of happy birthday.  This is a set by StampinUp.

Monday, November 2, 2015

Here is Julie's shoe box  card.  Colors are brown, yellow and white.  I have this stamp set.  I need to get it out and play with it.  The bazaar is Sat. so I'll be spending lots of time @ the Point this week.  I seem to have lots to do lately and not much accomplished.  I need to get organized.

Friday, October 30, 2015

Here is a card I made using Tangerine Tango.  The border is a die called Damask Accents.  After I took the picture I decided that I the flowers needed  a pearl.  Does make a difference, don't you think?

Here's another bookmark card using the bluebonnets dies.  The modem fixed our computer problems thank goodness.  I was not successful making cards yesterday.  Couldn't come up with anything I liked but the craft room is back together.  Every time Joe comes in here he says WOW!!  Feels good!

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Here's the birthday card I made for Joe's sister.  I tried to make the bookmark attached but I got the perforated line crooked so I just cut it off and enclosed it in the card.  We have been having computer problems but today we get a new modem so hopefully that solves it!  I need to get my swap done and some early Nov. birthday cards finished by the weekend.

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

This card I designed for my smaller shoe box group.  It was a birthday card but I needed a guy thank you card so I changed the saying.  Love this black & white paper.

I have not been able to get on the internet today until now.  Here is the card that Sharon made for shoe box.  I have not tried this technique.  We embossed the flower and then sponged the color over the flower.  I'm going to have to play around with this tech. some more.  I am cleaning out my craft room and getting rid of stuff I don't use.  I've had this on the back burner for some time.  Now I know why I drug my feet.  The room is a disaster.  Why is it you have to make a mess to clean and clear out???

Friday, October 23, 2015

This card has lots of fall colors.  Denise made this one for our shoe box group.  She puts together great color combinations.

Thursday, October 22, 2015

Just now able to get on the internet.  Here's a card that was designed by Pam for shoe box. When I finished the card I realized I had it upside down.  Yes, I know stupid.  I had to move stuff around. Anyway my card does not look a thing like Pam's I do like the inside, what can I say???

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

This card was  done by Sharon.  I really like the paper and the layering.  Shoe box today with Julie & Denise.  Always something to look forward to.

Tuesday, October 20, 2015

I am showing our shoe box cards.  This one Denise designed.  Love the colors!

Monday, October 19, 2015

Here is my second shoe box card.  The hello  is a die from Hero Arts which has lots of nice saying.
The stamp set is new one from StampinUp called Awesomely Artistic

Friday, October 16, 2015

Here's my shoe box card.  I love this background stamp & the rose.  I'm going to send more cards with bookmarks.  Nice little gift I think. I used a perforating tool so all you have to do is tear or cut the bookmark off to use it.

Thursday, October 15, 2015

This was the card I made for Pam for her birthday.  Forgot to mail it so it was late.  The hello is a die from Hero Arts. Stamps are from StampinUp Butterfly Basics set.

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

Here's another thank you card I  did last week.  I think I over stamped the background but decided it was OK. the doily is stenciled and then I added  some shading to the edges.  I need to get focused.  Lots I need to do but where is my ambition??

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

Here is a thank you note I sent last week. I am lovin' this flower die. The thank you is a font I really like. The center of the flower is colored in with stickles.

Monday, October 12, 2015

Here's another bookmark card.  Denise let me keep her bluebonnet dies so I will be making some more this week.  The background is a stencil.

Friday, October 9, 2015

Don't think I showed you this card that Denise designed for shoe box.  Orange and blue are opposites on the color wheel but I would never have thought of using them together.  I really do like this card and colors.

Thursday, October 8, 2015

I made some bookmark cards for the gift shop.  Here is the first one.

Wednesday, October 7, 2015

This was my swap card.  Saw something similar on Pinterest & liked it so I made one.  DS is StampinUp.

Tuesday, October 6, 2015

Here's a nice masculine card that Julie made for us to do @ shoe box.  She says masculine cards are hard for her.  I think not!

Monday, October 5, 2015

I am posting late today because we just go back from Houston where we attended a welcome home party for out grandson.  Thankfully he is back from Afghanistan.  The card I have to show you today is my shoe box card, regal rose and crumb cake.  Pretty simple but I like it.  Love this flower die.

Friday, October 2, 2015

Can you believe I did not use an embossing folder on this card?  I used this as my swap card and the colors were inspired by the card I showed you earlier that Denise made.  We had a yellow and purple guest room in one of our houses in Tucson.  Great color combo.  Love this flower die.  The center of the flowers is a hole punch.

Thursday, October 1, 2015

This card was one of Pam's. m She made a frame and then we sponged on the color to make the triangle.  We then stamped the images.  Doesn't show well due to the camera operator but it really a pretty card.

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Sharon showed us how to do this card.  It is complicated but worth the effort.  Love the colors.

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

Brown Sugar and white card I made using the Kensington branch & Detail Scallop dies.  Can't remember who I made this for.  The Detailed scallop die is a bear to get released from the die.  I ran it through several times and then used a pin to get it out.  Wouldn't want to make this card in multiples!!

Monday, September 28, 2015

Happy Birthday to my (older) twin sister.  Here's the card I made for her.  Embossing folder, dies  & a punch made this an easy card.  Joe & I  had a great time in San Antonio yesterday celebrating our birthdays and came home this morning.

Friday, September 25, 2015

Today I am showing Sharon's great masculine card.  Such detail! Love the background paper and the RR track stamped on it.

Thursday, September 24, 2015

I  love the colors that Denise used for this shoe box card.  I think I'll go back in and add stickles to the middle of the flowers.  I have the die and the embossing folder.  I need to use them more.  It adds a lot to the card.

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

This was a card for shoe box that Pam designed.   I added the butterfly because I had a spot of ink  that I wanted to hide.  Nice, happy colors!  I have a lot of brads that I never use so I'm thinking that I need to get them out and use them more.  Shoe box today with Julie and Denise & I even have my card made.
