Today I am showing you my second swap card.  The paper is a 6x6 pad from StampinUp.   Colors are Pistachio,  white  & Not Quite Navy.  The flowers are dies.

I finally got my swap cards in the mail on Monday.  One late & one early!  Par for me!  This is another new Nestie called Fancy Ribbon Threader. The tag is from Back To Basic Tags, another Nestie.  The flower was made with the SU bird punch using the wing.   Wish I had that kind of creativity.
Black & White always makes a statement.

I made this thank you note for my friend Marilyn.  These are new Nesties that she gave me.  This one is Marvelous squares. The embossing folder is called Bit of Paisley.  It is very detailed and very pretty.

This was my shoe box card.  The flower is a Martha punch which does not punch all the way out.  I used Time Holtz brick wall embossing folder for the background.  Made the circle with a nestie and then stamped the saying on a white scrap and popped up the brick layer.  Rose red card stock mounted on a rose red card base.  I am going to finish the book I am reading and maybe experiment with my new Spectrum Noir markers today.  I may work on my August birthdays too.  I hope you have a happy week!

I received this card from Marcy.  Isn't it a wonderful use of a border punch?  I am definitely CASing this idea!

This card was one we made for shoe box.  It was designed by Denise.  The colors match really well.  The punch that was used is a new one from StampinUp.

This card was made for an auxiliary birthday gal.  I ran this die through the bug and it moved so I only got a part of the die.  I decided not to throw it away but to use the portion that was good.  I popped up the poppy panel.  Ivory and cherry cobbler.

Here's a swap card I received from Royce.  I assume the top is a punch.  I love the stamp on the back of the card!  Everything coordinates.  I love that!

I made this card for Evan.  I can't believe he is 16.  The stamp is from Too Much Fun that I bought @ a convention several years ago. The sweat shirt opens for the sentiment on the inside and of course the check is there!

Pam made this card for our swap.  It really catches your eye.  I'll be using this layout!  I have a few projects to complete today so I can work on stamping.  I must get grandson #8's card in the mail today.  Can't believe he is 16 next week.  Have  a "hoppy" day!

Here's another version of the Dead Beat stamp. I could not decide if I like the red  or white layered card better so I made one of each.  The Howdy is individual letters.  Have you ever tried that?  First time I tried I had the words backwards, forgetting the I had to reverse the letters.  Try as I might I just can't get them any closer.  So it goes!  I need to just buy a word stamp and forget about trying this!

This is another version of the Texas themed  card I  made  to put in the gift shop. The stamp is Dead Beat Designs. I  need to get a couple of cards made and in the mail today.  Shoe box is today and an appointment with the allergy doctor  so I need to get busy early!  Have a happy day.

Today I am showing you a swap card that I received from Sharon. Love the color combo and the textured piece. Great color match.

I made some more Tx. themed cards for the gift shop.  This stamp is Dead Beat Designs.  Our great grandson arrived July 11.  Mom had after birth complications.  Fortunately she was still  in the hospital and is now doing OK.   They went home yesterday.  He's so tiny but oh so sweet.

Here's my swap card for this month.  I inked my embossing folder with crumb cake and ran it through the bug.   The poppies are colored with Noir watercolor pens.  I think I am going to like them a lot.  The card base is Rose Red and the stamp is Santa Rosa that has been gone for many years.  Apparently I gave credit to the wrong person when I posted my card yesterday.  Now I am more  confused.  Pam and Liz do great cards so just enjoy their work whom ever did it.

This card was made by my friend Pam.  The design is great.  The top piece raises up so you can see the inside of the card.  I will  definitely be using this design for  a card.  Great card Pam!

I made some Texas cards for the gift shop this weekend.  Here is one of them.  Lots of cards sold recently.  I have to get the shop ready for the next play.  That's my plan for today.

My surgery went well according to the dr.  I can read this without my glasses so that is good.  Still very tender but nothing to complain about.  Here is a card from my friend Liz from Tucson.  She Marcy and I have been in a swap for 10 years.  I can always depend on getting great cards from both of them.

Good Morning:

Cataract day on  my right eye.  Yesterday was very productive and on Thurs. we will see our grandson Alex.  he is headed to Houston and will be stopping by.  Joe's making his delicious ribs and Creme de Mint brownies are a must.  He will be going to Afganistan for 9 month so say some prayers, rattle the beads or whatever.  I'm trying not to think about it.
I am in two shoe box groups and 2 swaps and I get incredible cards from these ladies.  I have ask if it is OK for me to show some of their cards and they all said yes.  Soooooo, here's the first one.  Ginnie sent this one for our swap.  The bakground is paper and then she cut strips on navy and red and adhered them on top.  Absolutely amazing. Thanks Ginnie for allowing me to show your beautiful card.

Happy Fourth of July.  Here's another red, white & blue card but I added crumb cake too.  I am going to play around with the stars to see if I like another placement but I wanted to get this posted as I am off to a slow start. Have a happu day!

Here's my red white and blue card I made yesterday.  Pretty simple.

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

In honor of this great country I am  doing red white and blue cards until the 4th.  I had inspiration from a fellow stamper Peg.  She sent me this great card for her swap for the month.  I ask if I could show it to y'all and she said yes.  Here it is.  I love the layout and all the details.  I am in two card swaps and 2 shoe box groups.  They all are wonderful, creative people and inspire me.

I was playing with my new markers.  They are Spectrum Noir and I really like them.  These stamps are an old set from Hero Arts.  Another busy day.  I'll be back down at the point working on rearranging the gift shop.  The new shelving that I got is going to be a major improvement.  I'm pleased!
