We are off today for our cruise.  Warm weather and sunshine!  Can't get better than that.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and wish you good things in 2015.

Here's a birthday card I made for Pat.  Lagoon & white.  The tag is a die called Back To Basic Tags.  Several in this set.

Thursday, December 4, 2014

I made this card for one of my swaps.  This is a StampinUp  set that I recently bought.  It will probably go on the chopping block when the new catalog comes out.  That usually happens when I "cave" and get a set that has been in the catalog more than one time around.

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

I made this birthday card for Ally.  I used my new dies for this one.  Was not easy to glue this and get it on the card straight.  Stiffer paper would be better.  I ran the words through my Xyron Create A Sticker that worked well.

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

I have most of my Dec. birthday cards made.  It is a busy week! Borrowed this stamp from Sharon & saw it in my drawer so decided to play with it.  I can always go with black & white when I am stumped.  This card is for an Aux. member.  I must get it in the mail this morning.  I'll be cruising this time next week.  YEA!

Monday, December 1, 2014

Here's my swap card for Nov.  I was just one day late, not too  bad for me.  We had a great time in San Antonio.  Stayed on the river walk.  Loved all  the lights.  The first time we went they used the LED lights, got so many complaints that they went back to the colored lights.  Was great fun and a good time to go, not too many people  after Thanksgiving.

Friday, November 28, 2014

Today is our youngest sons birthday.  We made this card in shoe box and it was designed by Sharon.  I really like it and told her it would be Trev's birthday card.  I even got it in the mail on time.  Sunday we are going to SA to the river walk.  They lighted it this past week.  It is magical.  Looking forward to that and I have appointments this week so it will be busy.  Getting ready for our cruise to Columbia, Costa Rico, Aruba and Panama.  Not sure that is the order but it will be a nice trip.  I need to get my cards done for Dec.  I have several to get in the mail before we leave.

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  I have so much to be thankful for.  I received this card yesterday from Peg.  Great card.  Looks like she used bleach on the cornucopia.  The dark brown embossing is very nice.

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

My last November birthday card.  I don''t think I have ever used blue and pink to make a card except for the few baby cards I have made.  Don't know exactly how I arrived @ this color combo.  The stamp set is a retired one from StampinUp that I rarely use.  I like it just like other sets better.

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

Here's a birthday card for a friend.  Green and rose red, not a bad  color combo.I never get tired of this stamp set. I colored the stamp with markers.

Monday, November 24, 2014

Good Morning.  I have recovered from the Thursday membership appreciation  event.  A lot of work but it was well worth the effort.  I went down on Fri and picked up my stuff and donated the left over food to Junction house. This morning I have a card that I made for an Aux. member that has had a stroke.  I thought she needed a sunny card so this is what I came up with.

Friday, November 21, 2014

A fall birthday card that I made for an Auxiliary member. The wreath stamp is one I have had for a long time.  It is beautiful embossed in gold on dark colors. When I was into stamping with bleach I used this stamp on green card stock and it turned a beautiful purple.  It was really pretty.  The membership appreciation party was a tremendous success.  The auxiliary is finished until Jan. 15th.  I am looking forward to this time off.  I have lots to accomplish during this down time. This is the dryer sheet/glitter technique.

Thursday, November 20, 2014

Here's my other shoe box card.  The colors are a little bright for me.  The stamps are StampinUp retired.  I stamped the packages on the circle then stamped them again and cut them out and popped them up.  Didn't think I could cut out the bow!  I added some bling to the packages.

I had trouble again opening this file. I really don't understand what happens when I try to open a new file.  When I finally get it I don't know how it happened. GRRRRRRR! I  made this card for shoe box.  Sharon said we could use it either way so here is a picture of that.  I used the scalloped border because I did not get the embossing folder in the  right place and so it was not embossed at the bottom.  The pictures are reversed.  The bottom picture is the one I made originally.  Needless to say I am not going to try to reverse the pictures.  I hope that is my only challenge today because I have to cook for the buffet for tomorrow night.  Wish me luck!

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

I made this card recently.  I think it is one of my better ones, mainly because I love these colors together, eggplant and lagoon.  The Lost Lagoon is a new color for me.  I used it with yellow and white but this is my favorite.  This stamp is  old but I never get tired of using it.  It's a Penny Black.  I bought the matching ribbon which I rarely do.  Hope I use it up before Lagoon goes away!

Monday, November 17, 2014

I made this birthday card for an Aux.  member.  The die is Memory Box. Colors are Lagoon, yellow and white.

Friday, November 14, 2014

We made this card in shoe box.  Sharon designed it.  I have borrower ed this stamp but have not done anything with it yet.  Pretty colors.

Thursday, November 13, 2014

I sent this swap card to our daughter for her birthday.  She loves pink.  I am sorry to say I do not know who sent it to me.  It is a great design.  I am going to have to make an effort to pencil in the name of the person when I receive the card.  Let me know if you sent it so I can give you credit. A trip to San Antonio today.  I need lots of stuff that I buy in bulk.  We went from summer to winter this week.  I am happy that my heating/cooling unit is doing it's job.  I am toasty in my studio.

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

I sent this swap card to a friend who is doing chemo.  Pam designed it.  I love this Penny Black stamp.  Too cute!

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

This is my swap card for one of my swaps.   Black, red and white.  Lots of layering on this one..

Monday, November 10, 2014

This stamp is by Too Much Fun.  I embossed the ribbon and bow with clear powder.  I really like this paper.

Friday, November 7, 2014

Another fall card using the Holly Berry stamp, just changed the colors.  The  first one was a more dramatic color combo but I like this one too.

Thursday, November 6, 2014

I took Denise's design and made this card for my other shoe box.  The stamps are old Hero Arts. I love this checked paper and red together.

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

Denise made this card for our shoe box last month.  It is a different twist on an easel card.  I love the colors and the design.

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Here's the last of my hand made birthday cards.  This one is from Pam.

Monday, November 3, 2014

Two more birthday cards and then I can show some of the cards I have been working on.  This one is from Julie.  Purple I'd say she knows me pretty well!

Friday, October 31, 2014

This birthday card is from another friend in  Arizona.  Bazaar  count down is here!  I still have to  work on one glass flower and another one needs a final  layer.   Pies to make  and then set up the lawn art.

Thursday, October 30, 2014

This card is from my friend Opal in Tucson.
I can always count on getting a card from her for my birthday.  So cute!

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

WOW am I busy trying to finish some "No Killum Flowers" for the bazaar and a bird house chandelier.  Fun stuff!  I have some early Nov. birthday cards that I need to get in the mail  by tomorrow.  I got this birthday card from Denise. I love  Bluebonnets!  It's a great card!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Another birthday card, this one was
from Sharon.  The die is a Cuttlebug I think.  It is really pretty.

Monday, October 27, 2014

I am showing some of my birthday cards this week.  This one is from Peg.  Love the colors. This will be a busy week the bazaar starting with a preview on Friday night and the bazaar on Sat.  I am trying to finish a couple of projects. Need to bake, make my cheese log for Fri. night etc.Thank goodness I am not in charge this year!

Friday, October 24, 2014

Here's my card from Marcy.  It is really a pretty card.  Love the fall colors.

Thursday, October 23, 2014

I received some really great birthday cards so I decided to show them.  This one my friend Liz sent.  I loved the happy birthday which is a Memory Box die.  It will be arriving in my m
mail box soon.

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

I made this birthday card for a friend.  The stamp is a vertical one.  I stamped the Happy on the left, cleaned and dried the stamp and then inked the Birthday and stamped  it on the right.  The Wild Wasabi is a new color for
me.  One I  really like.

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

I had to make a sympathy card last week.  I re did it and like it much better.  The first one was on a white base and I thought it was too white.  I added an eggplant base and like it much better.  The sponged base was a die that   I popped up  and then I added the Kensington branch on top. I am still having trouble getting my newer cards to some up. Can't be the user, can it?

Monday, October 20, 2014

Shoe box was Sat. and I made this card.  It is a Holly Berry  stamp.  I stamped it  4 times and embossed it in copper then cut it apart and popped up the different layers.  It took me a long time to do this one and now I know why I don't try this technique often.  Colors are Chocolate Chip, Peach Parfait and More Mustard.  I am disappointed in the picture.  It is a really nice card up close!

Friday, October 17, 2014

We had shoe box on Wed. and here is the card I made.  Just Because is the stamp set by StampinUp. Chocolate & Blue are always a pleasing combo.

Thursday, October 16, 2014

I made this card because I think fall is in the air.  This embossing folder is a Cuttlebug & the stamp is an unmounted one that I bought at a convention years ago.  I colored it with alcohol markers & embossed with Moss.

I have been unable to post pictures for the last couple of days.  Tried this morning and it worked.  Go figure!

Monday, October 13, 2014

I made this birthday last week.  I rarely use this color and I was just trying to do something different.  This is a Hero Arts stamp.  I am never happy with white embossing powder and the paper is textured which makes it much harder.  I will probably just stamp the sentiment on white to cover it up.  Every time I make a bow I like I think of my friend Marcy.  We stood in the parking lot after  a stamp meeting in the  hot Tucson sun trying to teach her how to  make bows.  She makes beautiful cards.  I'll have to ask her if she can make bows  now.

Friday, October 10, 2014

I made this card for Marilyn for her birthday.  I have had this ribbon forever.  Don't know why I am hording it. I am not sure it shows in the picture but the sentiment and the leaves are stamped on DSP  just to give it a little texture.

Thursday, October 9, 2014

Another Aux. birthday card.  Pretty simple.  Notice that I used the waxed paper I put in the die to get the butterfly out.  It came out very nice so I used it.

Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Here is another birthday card using the Poppy die. Looks a little dark in the picture.  I may have to work on it a bit.

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

No cards to post today.  I have been working on some  things for the gift shop or Bazaar.  I did these candles.  I have done these before for Thanksgiving centerpieces.  I have also used candy corn as the  filler and popcorn unpopped of course. Hum coffee beans would hold  up better probably and smell good too! I bought this burlap  on a roll @ Walmart, I  bought the beads @ the bead show cheap. I  strung them on stretchie cord and tied it tight.  The next one is three layers which is hard to see in  the photo.

Can't think what the first layer is called so I will say material used in some belts, second layer is tan  and the grograin ribbon on top.  the gold is a  button.

My cold is better and I have a little more energy this morning so I need to play catch up today!

Monday, October 6, 2014

I sent this birthday card to an Auxiliary member.  Doesn't show up very well.  It is the new technique Sharon showed us.  You use a used dryer sheet, spray adhesive and glitter.  It is really pretty in real time.

Friday, October 3, 2014

I made this card as one of my swaps.  I love the look of doilies on cards.  If one is good 2 is more better!

Thursday, October 2, 2014

This was my swap card that I made for last month.  I have been seeing a lot of yellow and black cards so I decided to use those colors.  I added some score lines for a little interest.

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

I used this layout from a swap I received from Sharon.  Her's was done in green and black with some very pretty ribbon.  I rounded the corners on mine. I never got around to posting yesterday.  I am working to get some things made for the upcoming Bazaar@ the Point & started working on them early.

Monday, September 29, 2014

Good Morning:

I made this card for Julie for her birthday.  The dots is Washi tape and the embossing folder is from StampinUp. I cut around the bottom of the folder and added a piece of pail yellow computer weight paper to bring out the yellow flowers.

Saturday, September 27, 2014

It is 6:15 and I got a special delivery.  My morning coffee and a birthday cake which  Joe claimed he baked especially  for  me.  Well, it is oatmeal so that counts as breakfast!
