Here's another birthday card for my VA guys. You can never go wrong with brown and blue. I really need to get some more wedding invitations done. I have 50 in the mail and am just waiting on paper. Yesterday I stamped the oval wedding bells & hopefully I can get some of the folded cards cut and embossed.

Here's a VA birthday card I made. Navy & Sahara Sand.

I made this birthday card for Carol Ann. I like the sparkles! This die cut is from Making Memories and is called Tiffany Frame. I really like it.

I made this card for one of the VA birthdays. I am out of this paper which looks like wood flooring to me. I embossed it with my new Clock embossing folder that I got from Hobby Lobby. I also bought some twill that has clocks on it that I forgot I had. I'll have to get that out and use it next month for one of my VA cards. Yikes, it is almost next month already!

This is a new embossing folder that I bought @ Hobby Lobby. I am back to making birthday cards for the patients @ the VA Yea! I missed that. I inked the folder and then ran it through the bug. The saying is computer generated.

Here's Marcy's birthday card. I embossed the purse with white embossing powder. Are you tired of the purse yet?? I'm not!

Here's a birthday card I made. I have had this stamp from when I first started stamping. It is unmounted and I think it could be a Rubbernecker stamp but I am not sure. The background paper is a scrap that I had from long ago when I ordered from Marco Paper. Pretty simple design. I used a Gel pin to color the shoe and it matched the background paper.

Another purse card

I made this thinking of you card using my new purse stamp. I have used this color combo lots of times. I embossed the purse with clear embossing powder.

Here's my new purse stamp. It is from Rubbernecker. Their stamps are cling and stamp very well. They also have great service. The embossing folder is another of the new Anna Griffin that we played with at our last shoe box. I hope they come out soon individually. This one would be one of my first purchases. The pink is Blushing Bride. I like it a lot because it is softer than Pretty in ink. I like the feather, not sure why I decided to add it but I thought it needed something. The purse is embossed with black embossing powder. I'm not sure it shows up too well in the picture.

I missed posting yesterday. I have been busy revamping the gift shop @ the point. Spent 4 days down there but it is a great improvement. I am also happy to report that I have the VA birthday list so I need to get some cards made. Here's one I did. When we had shoe box Eve brought the new Anna Griffin embossing folders that were available only by buying a Cuttlebug and all of her new folders. She brought the folders and we played with them using scraps. The background for this VA card is one of them. I wrote down the names of those that I made on a piece of paper. Dumber than dumb because now I don't know which name goes to what. Anyway Sahara Sand and navy. A pretty nice card that came together very quickly.

Happy Valentines Day! This is the second shoe box card I made. I can't take credit for the design. Julie did a similar card for our shoe box get together a couple of months ago. I like the design so I cased it. She put pearls on top along the rounded off corners a large one and then a smaller one on each side. Looked good.

I needed a thank you note so here's the results. I love this doily die from Paper Trey Ink. I however do not like their postage. This set of 3 dies came in a big box with a bunch of paper and it cost $6.50. It could have easily been mailed in a padded envelope for less than $2.00. I have never ordered from them since & probably won't!

This is one of my shoe box cards. I also used it for our grandson's Valentine card. I am still trying to use up scraps of paper, probably won't happen in my lifetime. I like this color combo. I inked up the wood grain embossing folder to make the background. I should do that more often. I used Glossy Accents on the faux button.

Here's the card i did using Liz's design. The mistake I made was using a phrase stamp on the inside. You can read it OK when you open it but just a happy birthday stamp would have been better. I still don't like this Pacific Point color. I'm thinking that is maybe why I am not liking this card so much.

I made this card for Debbie who was involved in an accident going home from the wedding. Fortunately she survived but will be laid up for awhile. It's pretty simple.

I made this thinking of you card this week. I am trying to use up my scrap paper. I really like this paper. It is from StampinUp. The lace trim is one I use often. I rarely use this scalloped punch but I like4 the way it turned out.

Here's a thank you card I made yesterday. The shadow was made by using an acrylic block. The swirl is from Inkadinkado. I love this StampinUp saying and have used this set lots.

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

I am trying to use some of my left over scraps so I made this card. I like this layout a lot. I got some new get well stamps from Rubbernecker so I will be making some cards using them in the next few days.

I received this swap card from my friend Liz. It is so cute I ask if I could show you it. I made one but hers is better.
Pull on the ribbon and to see what''s inside.

After I posted this card Tues. I made some changes. I used this card for one of my swaps. When stamping I got the shadow ink of the outside of the rubber (hope this makes sense). I covered it up with butterflies. I liked this card a lot so I put butterflies on all the cards. I find that many of my StampinUp cling stamps do that. I am going to have to check it out before I stamp.
