Here's my swap card for my small swap due the first of the month. White, Sierra Sand & Wisteria Wonder. I happened to have this ribbon which matches very nicely. The ink is a Marvy Matchable which I think is pretty close. Love it when I have supplies that work with the StampinUp colors. I have overlooked this Sierra Sand as a neutral. Maybe I will try it with Pacific Point which is way too bright for me. I made mine a thank you card but I think it would work well for a Thinking of You too. I will leave it blank for the ladies to decide.

I had to make a couple of sympathy cards. Not a favorite of mine. This one is pretty simple. I love this tree embossing folder and the font is especially nice I think. This came together very quickly. If you enlarge picture you can see that I cut the design apart for a little depth. Here's the trick I use when cutting things apart. I decide what width I want and cut both sides first. Then when the biggest piece is in the middle it does not show as much. To me it looks more balanced.

I have been busy cooking and decorating for the wedding tomorrow. I am very pleased with the fireplace & I think the patio will look really nice also. (Hopefully there will not be too much wind tomorrow). Most of the major cooking has been done. I can't believe how smoothly this has gone. Hope I have not jinked myself. Any way, here's the card I made for the happy couple.

Here's the second shoe box card. I bought the Tim Holtz birdcage & bird die for 40% off and $1.95 shipping so I made the plunge! I saw a really cute card on Pinterest where they took the cage and instead of the bird inside it was just a small feather. That was what I was going to do but my feather was too big. I tried cutting it and that did not work either so I just went with the bird in the cage. Hope I can find different ways to use this die. .

We had shoe box on Sat. The theme was birds. Here's one of my cards. I computer generated the saying. I have this saying but it is very small. I cut the window with a Nestie. The nest and bird is from Dead Beat Designs. The tree is Stampscapes. I have never used any of these stamps. I am sure I bought them at the last convention I attended. Must have seen something I thought was clever but of course I don't know what that was. Colors a Old Olive, Soft Suede and Vanilla.

This color combo was inspired by two swap cards I received recently. One from Peg and another from my long time friend Liz. Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. The punch is Martha's and the blue ribbon grabbed my attention when I was looking for crumb cake seam binding. I like the way this one came together quickly and also like the results.

Here's another thank you note. This Pacific Point color is really strong. I wish they had not discontinued Ballet Blue. I used white & need help in figuring what colors go with this strong color. I am loving my new Delicate Designs embossing folder which I used on this card.

Here's a card made but I did not put any sentiment on it because it could be birthday, thinking of you or just a note card. I will add Thinking of You because I am still making cards for the Auxiliary. I bought this stamp in the marked down aisle @ Mike's I really like pink and gray. It doies not show up in the picture but I used black stickles on the butterfly & also outlined the hat. Adds a little zip..

Here's my swap card. I love this lace and use it often with this embossing folder. I get the lace @ WalMart and the folder is Vintage Wallpaper from SU. I think this would make a nice sympathy card or Anniversary card and or a birthday card so I left it blank so they can decide.

I made this get well card yesterday. I made several attempts @ my smaller swap card but did not come up with anything that I liked so it's back to the drawing board today. I am already late as it is due the 1st. of the month. I have 23 days to get my second swap card in the mail. Maybe I will meet that deadline! This saying is from SU Curvy verses. There are some nice sayings in this set that I don't use much. I'll have to remember it & use this set more. I am not sure I like the Bakers twine on the card but decided to leave it alone since I had so much trouble coming up with a good design, The poppy stamp is Hero Arts and the background is a Rubbernecker cling. Their stamps really stamp well & works great with my Fiskars stamp thingie. I can't think of the name of it, but it is a large platform and has sponge legs on each corner. Once I figured out that you need to press down firmly on the middle to get a good I use it a lot for large stamps.
