Here's a quick and easy card I made for the VA birthdays. I am working today on some to leave @ the VA while we are away. This is simple but nice I think. I like stamping on stripped or polka dots and checks but don't do it very much.

Playing with new Embossing folder

Today I got our my new embossing folder from StampinUp. I haven't made a "green" card in awhile. This green is from Marco Paper and is about gone. I wish StampinUp had done away with that ugly green garden green (I think) and left Hunter green in their paper line. Oh well, guess I will be on the lookout for a nice green when this Marco paper runs out. Pretty simple card.

Another VA card using my new background stamp from Hero Arts called Newspaper. I received a card in a swap from Royce and emailed her that I really liked the card and it would be great for the VA birthdays so she sent me some from a piece of card stock that she had. Sure made for an easy card. Wish I had gotten the stamp higher up on the card front but decided it was OK. I tried running a piece of card stock through the bug & an embossing folder & gluing it on top to hide that but it made it look "off" so I just ignored it! I am very good @ ignoring things like dust, dirty floors etcd! Have a great day!

I know, I know!

Yes, I was going to get back to stamping and posting on a regular basis & I really will. I had 12 VA cards to make this month so I have been busy, plus a friend shared a book on Joe's I-pad that I really wanted to read & it expired today, so I spend one whole day snuggled in my chair (nest) in the bedroom. If you have not read Watering The Elephants, do so. It's a great book & an easy read. Here's the first card I made. Navy and S. Sand. Check out the way I used the punch. I liked the way it turned out. The background stamp is a new one from Hero Arts. I love it and will be using it a lot. Very clean lines which I like. I'm off to scrub the master bath. Happy Sunday to you!

We're back

Hello everyone:

We are back and I will start posting again as soon as I am no longer on Barcelona time! Wow, that is tough. We left Barcelona @ 7 a.m. and arrived in Houston @ 6:00 p.m. not too bad until you add the 7 hours time difference. The weather was perfect over there, only one day of rain. The Regent is a wonderful cruise line. The best we have ever been on.

The laundry is done, email read, the fridge cleaned so I can restock so I am ready to start making some cards. I have someone that wants some birthday, thank you & get well cards so I need to get them started.

Here's a swap card I made before we left. I bought this paper @ Hobby Lobby. I love small prints like this. Green & Pink & very springy!
