Here's one of my swap cards for Jan. The stamps are new from Hero Arts. Colors are Marina Mist and So Saffron. I need to get busy on Feb. VA cards. I'm also reading a good book and I am starting to clean out my stamping stuff. I'v convinced myself to spend an hour a day doing that. We'll see how that goes.

Shoe Box card

Here's a card I made for shoe box in January. The theme was Oriental. I have had this mesh forever and decided to get it out and use it. Don't know what it is called or where I got it even. This is the only oriental stamp I have. I liked the results.

Here's a card I made for one of my Jan. swaps. Sorta out of my comfort zone with DSP and the polka dot ribbon b ut I liked it. Colors are grey, white and razzleberry.

I made a set of 6 Bluebonnet note cards and put them in a box to sell @ the Point in the gift shop. I am working on Valentines and another set of note cards to sell there as well.

This is the last of the cards I did for the VA this month. I don't have to mail the cards anymore so I can use buttons without extra postage. Luv that! The saying is a great one. Birthdays are just numbers and mine is unlisted!

Here's another Va card. I have had this stamp since I started stamping. I bought it unmounted so I have not idea what co. made it. I embossed it in silver and added the saying that is a sticker. I did not get a very good picture of it. It really was a nice looking card. The squares behind the image also is stickers. I went through all my stickers and got rid of some that I knew I would not use. I really need to do more purging but the thought of that is something I procrastinate about!

This is the last of this stripped paper. I am sorry to see it go. It is very masculine. The card was quick & east to put together. The cupcake is DeNami & a stamp I have had forever.

Aniother Jan. VA birthday card. Very simple, using left over DS. I like the look of stamping on polka dot and gingham papers.

Here's a card I made for my VA birthdays. I am tr4ying to use up scraps and the yellows are from Bitty Pads that I bought @ Mike's years ago. Turned out fairly well I think.

Here's one of the cards I made for the Va this month. I am trying to use up some of the stuff I have collected over the years. Here's some stickers and computer generated saying. I opened the drawer where my stickers are and decided to use the first thing I saw.

I had a very productive day yesterday. I got most of my Jan. VA cards done. I think I only havfe one more to make. The twill ribbon I used on this VA card for last month was a "find" @ Michels. The minute I saw it I knew it would work well with a butterfly stamp I have. Simple and easy to put together.

Here's a shoe box card I made. I don't use enough designer paper. It's a pretty simple design. The tag is Spellbinders fancy tags.

Yikes, I am trying to get my January VA cards done. We picked up the list yesterday and I have to get two in the mail today. I'm experiencing a brain freeze. I did do a couple I like. I am trying to use up some stuff that I have had forever. You'll see the results soon.

I have been MIA for a week. We sold our house 2 days after Christmas so we made a quick trip to Indiana to see what is available there. We had to be out of our house on Jan. 23 YIKES!! We found one house that we would consider and started home on Fri. thinking that we would rent here and make another trip to Ind. in a month or so to find a house. On the way home we got a call from our realtor stating that our buyers buyer had backed out of the deal so we are not homeless after all. I know that I am going to go through my stamping stuff and be ready the next time.

Here's a card I made with a stamp I got in our shoe box exchange. The embossing folder is one I bought when we visited our son in Thousand Oaks Ca. I took a 3 minute walk to Michaels.Located just out side their gated community. We would all die for a store like that at the Rim. Lots of stuff I have never seen @ Michaels in this area. Any way this embossing folder is one of 4 that I bought while there. The folder is called Paper Lace II. It has 2 5x7 embossing folders & 2 4.25 x 5.75 folders. I love the design. I think the "need a lift" is perfect for a get well card.

Patty & Dave had a bug and they were kind enough to share with us so I am running on low level fuel. Hopefully we will both be better in a day or two.
