Here's a card I made for a friend for his birthday. I haven't used this brick wall embossing folder for awhile. The stamp is just the grass and I used a punch to make it a cattail. The punch is from StampinUp but I am not sure it is in the catalog any longer. I bought the punch for something else but I don't remember what that was. Never used it except to make cattails. I inked the embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink. I used it once using green ink and punched using pastel colors.

Here's a card I made for the point sunshine committee. I really like this embossing folder, so classy.
Here's another get well card I made. Pretty simple but I like it. The top layer is popped up. Adding the ribbon and glitz made a difference.

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

I am starting to make the get well cards for the point. I made a couple yesterday. This one is using my new favorite die that I used for my Christmas cards. It is Tiffany Frame from Memory Box I think. I bought a Xyron Create A sticker. Didn't quite fit but with a little work I managed to get it into the machine and enough glue to adhere it to the card base. Marina Mist and So Saffron.

Here's the card I made for Benjamin for his birthday. Can''t send one to Alex because he is in
Korea and we haven't gotten his address yet. Guess a Facebook greeting will have to do.

Monday, December 17, 2012

Here's my swap card for this month. I like the tree shadow and the glitz of course. Now I am thinking I should have made it a winter tree scene, maybe I'll give that a try!

Friday, December 14, 2012

Here's a simple thinking of you card that I found in my glossy paper file. I have no idea where it came from but since I need to get some get well cards made, I decided to post it and put it in my pile of cards for the point.

Thursday, December 13, 2012

Here is my second shoe box card. It is pretty simple. I have seen several versions of this card. I just wanted to try stamping with a cut out. I think I would have liked it better turned on the side. I said that and Pam made hers like that, I liked it better. I have to make some get well cards for the Sunshine committee so I think I will try that. Colors are Vanilla and Navy.

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Here's a birthday card I made for an Auxiliary member. I decided to use a winter theme. I think it turned out well.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

I made this card as one of my shoe box cards. I used Blushing Bride & Crumb Cake on another card last
week and really liked the color combo so I decided to use it again. There was no theme for this shoe box. I decided to add the pearls when I got to Pam's. Made a big difference.

Monday, December 10, 2012

Here is the birthday card s made for Ally. I saw it on Pinterest & thought it would be a special card for her 16th birthday.

Friday, December 7, 2012

I sent this card for one of my VA birthdays this month. It was designed by Sharon for one of our shoe box get togethers. I love the plane. My Christmas cards are done yipee!! Now I can get some knitting done. I have several books I want to read & because the Aux. does not meet until Jan. 10, I am a lady of leisure.

Thursday, December 6, 2012

Here's another thank you note I made last week. I like this on a lot. This is Stampin Up paper I think.

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

I found this piece of paper when I was going through my scrap drawer. It was from AMuse. I loved it and had it in several colors but it is all gone. It made a nice thank you card that was simple and quick to make. I really like it better with Cherry Cobbler but I had this red on my desk so I used it. I love cherry cobbler. I just ordered it and Not Quite Navy and thought hummm that would be a nice color combo. Gotta give that a try. I am finishing my Christmas cards today, at least I hope so, a trip to the grocery and a couple of errands, a busy day!

Tuesday, December 4, 2012

Here's my swap card for Dec. I like the color combo of crumb cake and blushing bride. The lace I bought at Mike's. The butterfly is a Martha punch. The scallop is a die from My Favorite Things. Didn't realize how big it was until I got it but it works on this card I think. I must get a couple of exchange gifts done today and finish up my Christmas cards. That's a lot on my plate. Wish me luck!

Monday, December 3, 2012

I needed to make some cards for the VA birthdays and was short on time so I used some that we made at shoe box and some I had on hand. Here is the only "original" I made. It is nice to use some of the cards that I have been hoarding.

Friday, November 30, 2012

Rich Razzleberry again! This is a card I made for a friend. I had this DS on my desk along with a whole bunch of other stuff which made for a great mess. I am such a messy stamper. I am trying to clean up and put away things after each project. That's a battle that I will surely loose! This die is a Spellbinders Label 14 that I have had for some time. I used a StampinUp folder on it and then added the pearls. The butterfly is a StampinUp also. I hope you like it.

Thursday, November 29, 2012

I made this card for my friend Ginnie. I like the softness of it. I used a Cuttlebug folder but have no idea what the name of it is. I got a lot accomplished yesterday. My swap card is ready to send & I used a lot of cards I had on hand for my VA birthdays.

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

I made this birthday card for another Aux. member. I rarely use this color but I think it turned out well. The flower is from Hero Arts.

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

I made this birthday card for one of our Auxiliary members. Navy & white, always a nice color combo. I really need to get some cards made and finish my Christmas cards. Maybe I'll try to get some made today. I am chained to the washer and dryer so I may just do that.

Monday, November 26, 2012

Here's my swap card for this month. I needed a get well card so I decided to use it as my swap card. Colors are springy. I am bringing back shadow stamps. How many years has it been since they were so popular?

Saturday, November 17, 2012

I am on vacation starting today through next Sat. so I probably won't post any cards.

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Another thank you card. This is for a guy and I tried to make it on the masculine side. The leaf punche is so old. The colors are So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Crumb Cake. The punched leaves are scrap DSP. I started working on my Christmas Cards yesterday and I am happy with the results. Just needs a little tweeking. I have the card parts cut out and the saying stamped so when we go to Brownsville next week I will take the parts and assemble them.

Monday, November 12, 2012

Here's another thank you note I made. It is pretty simple. This chevron is a new embossing folder from StampinUp. Colors are Baja and Crumb Cake

Sunday, November 11, 2012

Here's a swap card I made for my small swap in Sept. I just discovered that I had not posted it. I like the colors a lot & thought it turned out pretty cute.

Friday, November 9, 2012

Here's one of many thank you cards that I need to make. I had this card base laying in my pile of card parts. The leaves are Heartfelt Creations stamp & die. I don't have the hang of this yet but I am getting better. I used alchol inks to color these leaves and used a stipple brush which for me gives better results than direct to paper and using the finger daubers. The embossing folder I used was Tim's wood grain & the big dots is a Cuttlebug folder. The rust color raises up for the thank you inside.

Thursday, November 8, 2012

We had a silent auction @ the bazaar and I need to send thank you notes to the contributors. Mark is in a band and does beautiful pottery. Here is the card I made for him.

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

Here's a thank you card I finally made this morning. One down and lots more to make. I didn't accomplish much yesterday. I've got to get going on some things today.

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

I have a ton of thank you cards to make so I think I will work on that today after I shovel out the house. I am interviewing maids. I just want someone to dust and clean the shower. The shower is not a big problem but getting on a ladder to dust a number of things in this house is something I will do but not when I am home alone humm that would make a good movie wouldn't it! I have no cards to show you today so I am showing you the quilt that we raffled off @ the bazaar. I got a call @ 1:00 on Sun. that the winner had been notified & we needed to find a place to give it to her @ 2:00. yikes! I had not even been in the shower. We agreed to meet @ the Point and since we could not get into the main building I decided we should take the picture @ Stonehedge. Good advertising for the Point. This is the only quilt that I have ever wanted, it truly is a work of art!

Nov swap card

Here's my swap card that I made for the smaller swap I am in. Had trouble getting the proportions right & tossed the first one and started over. I saw something similar but without the bling. You know me, always have to bling it up.

Friday, November 2, 2012

I made this birthday card for an Aux. member too. She turns 90 on Sunday. Her daughters were going to have a party for her and she did not want that and said she would lock the doors and not come out. I personally am always ready for a party, especially when I don't have to do anything. I bought this stamp in the marked down bin @ Michaels. I went looking for inspiration when I was going to Pam's sleepover. I really like her. I also like the way it turned out. Tomorrow is D day for the bazaar. I'm looking forward to collapsing on Sunday! I'm already tired and I have not been up an hour. Too much work for an OLD person. Enough of my claptrap! Here's the card.

Thursday, November 1, 2012

This is a card I made for an Aux. member for her 91st. birthday. She is an amazing woman, always very upbeat. The flower is by Hero Arts. The swirl is Inkadinkado and I embossed the flower and the swirl with red embossing powder.

Keely's birthday card

Here is a card I made for our daughter Keely for her birthday. She loves pink so I know she will like this card. I like the soft colors, Certainly Celery & Pretty in pink.

Tuesday, October 30, 2012

I make birthday cards for all the ladies in the Aux. Here's one I made for Kitty who is the "jolly rancher" and raises chickens. My coloring and shading is getting a little better I think. At least I like the coloring on the chicken.

Thanksgiving card

Here is my Thanksgiving card. I love the colors on this one. I used alchol inks and a stipple brush to do the leaves. Can you see the bling on the leaves? I bought them @ Michaels. They are herringbone. Love them! This Fri night & Sat is the bazaar so I may be missing in action this week. I will try to post the early Nov. birthdays cards I made this weekend. I made a couple of winners, at least in my opinion.

Friday, October 26, 2012

Here's another fall leaves card I made. Again I chalked the leaves.

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Better picture of the wind chime

This is a better picture of the wind chime I made. I didn't want to show it because pictures don't lie and I am a fat old lady! You can see the clear beads on the wings much better. I have a lot of Nov. birthdays so I'll be busy this weekend baking for the bazaar and making cards.

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Honey's birthday card

I made this card for Honey for her 87th birthday. She's a great person. This pumpkin stamp is a unmounted stamp so I have no idea who made it. The pumpkins are embossed with Adirondack powder that I bought a long time ago. The Happy Birthday stamp was a little tricky to stamp because it is one stamp. I did this by inking the stamp and then wiping off the birthday part. Colors are eggplant, moss and butterscotch which goes well with the StampinUp colors, more mustard, old olive and eggplant.

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

Here's Marilyn's birthday card. I had to special deliver it because I did not plan ahead for Columbus Day. I love the colors of this one. I used chalk again to color the leaves.

Monday, October 22, 2012

Thank you note

Here's a thank you note I made for Royce because she let me borrow a stamp. I am certainly ready for fall! This is a stamp and die set from Heartfelt Creations. I had pretty good luck stamping and then placing the die down for cutting. My friend told me she used a stamp a majig after she die cut her leaf. That didn't work as well for me. I always stamp on a yellow legal pad so I stamped the leaf on that, then ligned up my die cut leaf on top of that and then stamped the die. I held it down with a post it note. I colored the leaves with chalk.

Friday, October 19, 2012

Here's a picture of the wind chime that I put in the gift shop & it sold that week. The box grater was in the storage room down @ the point. Joe spray painted it for me. It has a very pleasant sound. Someone gave me the clear plastic beads that are hanging from the butterfly wings. The butterfly was rusty and hanging on my patio & Joe sprayed that too.See the thing that is second from the left. That is a clip on earring that I sprayed silver too. It's fun to repurpose things!

Thursday, October 18, 2012

This is my third card project that I did for Pam's sleep over. I really didn't like it until I used Glossy Accents on the front. That perked it up! The stamp is DeNami that I bought @ the last convention I attended. I have never used it. I probably bought it because I liked how they had used it. Of course when I got home I could not remember what they had done.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

I saw this layout when I was surfin' for ideas. I made this card for the VA birthdays. I hope you like it.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Here's a card I did for our sleep over @ Pam's. I saw soething similar on Pinterest. I really like the way this one turned out.

Monday, October 15, 2012

Wild colors

Here's a VA card I made. The colors are way out there arean't they? I tried to case a card I made a while back. The colors were celery and brown. Well casing is not my strong suite I guess because the proportions are way off. I hope the recipient had sun glasses!

Saturday, October 13, 2012

This is a card I did @ Pam's stamp camp. We were ask to bring a stamp and a 12x12 piece of paper. We passed the stamp to the left and the paper to the right and what we ended up with, we were ask to make a card. Pam put a bunch of embellishments in the middle of the table and we could used anything in there. She gave us an housr to do the card. It didn't take an hour for any of us. I love this duck from Penny Black. I got this saying in a swap from Royce. On the inside it says Happy Birthday (Belatedly)

Friday, October 12, 2012

Here's another VA birthday card. This stamp is my go to when I need a quick card. I bought it in the $$ bin at Michaels and it stamps beautifully. This is my make a difference weekend. I need to get a bunch of things made for the bazaar. I hope I can be productive.

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Sorry I am late in posting today. I have another VA card. Pretty simple & not much stamping.

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Birthday card from Marcy

As you are well aware, a photographer I am not. I'm sure my picture of this card will not do it justice. I ask Marcy if it was OK for me to post this spectacular card. The background and the leaves were made using Alchol inks. The glimmer mist adds just the right touch. I love every aspect of this card. Marcy told me these stamps and dies are from Heartfelt Creations. She also told me that she die cut the leaves & then used a stamp positioner to stamp. Why didn't
I think of that?? I liked it so much that I ordered the set. They came yesterday so as soon as I shovel out the house I am going to play.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Stamp Camp @ Pam's was a lot of fun. There were 6 of us and we each did 3 projects. Here's one of mine. I wanted to add earrings but the lady's hand was in the way so I added a ring. I hope it shows up in the picture. A little bling never hurts.
