I made some of May's birthday cards early so that if there is any VA guys celebrating the first week in May, they are there and ready to be distributed. Here's one I did. I tried to case a card I saw on the net. Pretty close. I love the saying.

More leftovers!

Here's the card I made using more leftovers. These papers were leftovers from the cards we made when Denise & her friends came over. I don't often stamp on figured paper but I do like the look.

Using up leftovers

At a recent shoe box Sharon brought 2 cards for us to make. I used the main stamped image on a card for my VA birthdays. The paper was too pretty not to use, so I made this card with the leftovers. I like it. Forgot to get a picture of the stamped image. I have another card I made from leftovers that I will show tomorrow.

At shoe box last week Julie made a card using Black, turquoise, hot pink and white. Great color combo. I tried to use those colors and her card was much better than mine. Here it is. I love the new doily dies and bought this Hero Arts stamp when I was in San Antonio last week.

Here's a card I made yesterday using Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, Pretty In Pink and white. I had intended to use it in my class tomorrow but it did not make the grade. Don't know what I don't like about it. To pink & bluish maybe. Doilies are very in right now so I added a part of one.

I was short on time and even shorter on ideas for the VA guys this month. Here's a simple card that I made using red, white & blue. I have not used this star embossing folder in a long time.I bought this embellishment in a pack a long time ago and have never used it, don't know why. Patriotic cards are always nice.

Apparently my posts have not gotten to my blog. Don't ask me why, it's a mystery. I will try to get the three I posted this week on the blog. This card was one I made for a VA birthday. The stamp is DeNami and the stars are punched. Hope this time it go through.

Another card from Denise & friends

I love pink & brown together. I did this layout in black & burgundy a month or so ago. I told the girls I can't even CASE myself! I did not get the rose I stamped in the same place so I had to move the sentiment over. Not bad though

Another card from Denise & friends

I sure had a good time with Denise & her friends. Here's a pop up card we made. Navy & white. The stamp set is from Heartfelt Creations.

Card class

Denise and her 2 friends from Michigan came over and we made 4 cards. Had a great time, the gals were fun! Here's a card we made but I reversed the colors on the one I made just to show the difference. Humm, I think I like the second version better. Let me know which one you like the best.

A simple card for my VA guys

I had to make all the cards for the VA guys last week. Usually I make a few so I don't feel so overwhelmed. This is a Hero Arts clear stamp that I have never used. I like it so you'll see it again. The background paper was in my patterned paper scrap drawer. The ink is Fresco Amaretto Truffle, my favorite brown ink pad.

Card class

Here's a card we made when Denise & her friends came over. Baja Breeze & brown. I love that Vintage Wallpaper EF. We brayered the Baja Breeze on cs and then added brown. Brayering was faster than using the direct to paper technique. The WOW factor happened when we used the embossing folder. Changed the look big time.

Here's the pinwheel which I showed Denise and her friends how to make. I also used it as my swap card for Marcy & Liz this month. Makes a very nice masculine card, change the paper and you have a cute kids card. My friend Marcy liked it so well that she is using it in one of her classes.

Here's a quick card I made using rose red. The stamp is SU set called Thoughts & Prayers. I used my ScorIt and like the look. Finishes a plain card. Can you believe I did not Cuttle it? I used markers to "ink" the stamp. Busy week. We are having a Mystery Luncheon @ the Point. We need to get the kitchen back in order before Thurs. The floor looks great and I am excited. May be having the luncheon here if it did not go well YIKES! that means I will have to clean instead of stamping.

I saw this card on ARTfelt Impressions blog. I was under the gun to make 8 cards for my April birthdays at the VA Hospital. I loved this layout and decided to use colors that I never use pumpkin pie, basic gray and black. Turned out pretty well. Check her blog she does some nice things.

Iris card

Here's a card that I was going to use for my card class but there was not enough ribbon. I was certain that I bought the ribbon @ WalMart but wasn't there. I stamped the image (PSX) on white card stock then layered a piece of vellum over it and put the ribbon down both sides. It really is pretty, soft look but does not show up that well in the picture.

I'll never get tired of that new Cherry Cobbler color! This butterfly was an unmounted stamp that I bought @ a convention a long time ago. It's great for guy cards. Yesterday I had a card class. I will show you those cards in a day or to. We had a great time. The sentiment I bought at the last convention I attended. I wanted a Get Well and Happy Birthday stamp that was vertical. The company is Repeat Impressions. Just what I was looking for.

Simple is in!

Here's another simple card. I used Vanilla and a couple of different embossing folders. It was quick to make. The ink is Fired Brick and the ribbon matches. Love when that happens! Stamps are StampinUp.

Love the Vintage Wallpaper EF

Here's a very simple sympathy card. Don't know why I never thought to use pearls with this folder. I think it is very elegant which is what I am always looking for in a sympathy card. Simple but elegant. Hope you like it. I love the sentiment too!

OOPS!

I posted the waterfall card twice. Sorry about that! Here is a card we made in class. I found this flower border in my ribbon drawer. It looks like a light weight leather and made a nice finish to this card. The stamp is a Hero Arts cling stamp. Boy the Hero clings stamp well, nice clean lines.
