Saturday was one of my shoe box exchanges. I made this card. My favorite colors. Purple and yellow. The flower hold the flap in place. That's the last of that paper boo ho! There's scraps and I have some ribbon that matches fairly well. Maybe I can scrape together another card. We'll see.

I have several thank you notes that I need to write to people whom were instrumental in making our fashion show and luncheon a hugh success. Here's the first one I made using a scrap of paper and my new StampinUp Lace Ribbon Border punch. The flower is from the Fifth Ave. Floral stamp set.

Here's another VA guy card I made for last month. I like the stamp but have not used it much. I am not particularly happy with this card but hopefully the person who received it will like it. Some times cards come together easily and sometimes not! I am sure each of you have experienced that.

Here's something I tried that was simple. Probably would not work with some stamps but was OK with this on. I stamped the trees and then turned it around and stamped the image again without reinking. I have seen instructions where the stamp was stamped and then stamped again on tissue paper and glued down. I did not have tissue paper. I used a Nestie to cut out the shape. It's long gone to the VA hospital. I used a blue stamp pad and a blender pen to color the water.

I cased this card. Sharon did a layout like this for one of our shoe box exchanges. I liked it a lot so I changed the colors and sent it off to the VA. It's a great way to use up small scraps of paper. The stamp I used is from a set called Birthday Bliss. It is a retired SU set.

Here's the second of my shoe box cards. I think it makes a great guy card. I brayered the background using a Adirondack multi colored ink pad called Cabin Fever. Apparently it all ran together because it is nothing like the outside colors. I like4d it anyway but when I checked my other pad it was the same way. A word to the wise don't buy that brand. That does not happen to the Kaleidacolor pads.

Here3's a card I did for a recent show box. The theme was "quotes". I wasn't sure the greens went together but I think it is OK. The quote is Hampton Arts that I have had for a long time. "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. I like it but don't use it much,
