Card #4 from card class

WOW, I forgot to post the last card we made in my class. It took some figuring out because of the folds etc. I learned how to do it but the biggest thing I learned is to use computer paper for the prototype. It is a WOW factor card. Some of the gals elected to not put the sentiment on the card. I suggested a swirl stamp. Celia decided to use the swirl. I really liked it better.

VA card

Here's my version of the card I showed you yesterday that Sharon made. I used stars. It is not as effective as Sharon's was but it will pass.

For all you StampinUp lovers

Good Morning:

I received this card from my friend Sharon using the new stamp set called Fabulous Florets. Great card which inspired me to make a VA card using red, white & blue. Here's the card.

Card #3

Here's a card we did in class using the Lace Frame from Hero Arts. I could not get this stamp to stamp well so I took a sanding wedge and ran it all over the stamp, then washed it good and it now stamps a lot better. The colors are ivory and Marina Mist.

Class card #2

I had to wait overnight to see if I liked this card. No was my decision in the morning. I substituted the white ribbon for 3 panels of white. I de4cided the pink was overwhelmed by the white. This worked much better. This is blushing bride cs. The flower is a Paper Trey Ink die.

Card class

Yesterday we did a class and here is the first card we made. I love the colors & this new stamp set called Fabulous Florets. You are going to see a lot of this stamp set I am sure!! The colors are black, crumb cake & vanilla. We used Stickles for the center of the flowers. Love that satin ribbon, it's luxurious.

swap card for August

Here's my swap card for August. Crumb cake & my favorite brown ink, Amaretto Truffle, no wonder I like it huh? I used to do a lot of stamping on figured paper. I love checked and polka dots with flowers stamped on it. Aha! There's another thank you card idea. I may just get all the thank you notes done yet! You can't see the rickrack very well. It added a lot I thought.

Here's my swap card I did for Marcy & Liz. It came back to me because it needed more postage. Weird colors for me but they matched the colors in the ribbon. Very simple card.

We had shoe box yesterday and this is the card I made. I love the Tim Holtz embossing folder. It works well with all the flower stamps I have. I had to play around with several greens before I got it right. It is Memories soft leaf and Olf Olive. I liked the way it turned out.

Finally a Thank You card I like

This card layout is one I did a long time ago. Changed the colors and the nestie. I am purging and I came across the original card so I decided to try it. Played around with some ribbon but decided to leave it plain.

A remake

We made this small card @ Celia's. I don't send small cards so I redid this one for a VA birthday. Nice color combo.

Evan's birthday card

Here's the card I made for Evan for his birthday. This stamp is in the StampinUp set called Bring On The Cake. I will use this set a lot. Cherry Cobbler & Saffron are the colors.

I must get some stamping done today!

Here's a card I made before we left. I am really stingy with this patterned paper. That's the last of it. Hope you like it!

We are back! We had a great time with family and friends. We attended church where we were married and they acknowledged our 50 yrs. together. Lots of family and friends attend with us so that was very special.

The kids and grands really liked Branson. We wore our "oldie wed" shirts to a dinner show. I thought the grands would think it was hokey but they loved it. We attracted lots of attention. Evan called us the blue crew.

Joe, Ally, Evan and Alex came to Branson in the RV and I rode with Trev. The kids were in the back and when Joe stopped for gas they got out. Joe didn't know this so he was a few miles down the road before he got the call that they were back at the station. Thank God for cell phones. Everyone thought it was hilarious but the 4 above mentioned. Trev and I were looking for a grocery but when we heard that the kids were stranded we opted for liquor!

I will get back in the groove and do some stamping as soon as I get the mounds of laundry done. Don't give up on me!!
