Card #3 for class

This designer paper is StampinUp. Card base is Rose Red. The scallop is a new die from PaperTrey Ink. I thought I ordered the med. but this is the large one. Too costly to return so some day I will order the med. one. I love this saying.

Another card from class

This picture did not turn out well. I tried several times and cannot get it any better. The colors are Brilliant Blue and Pear Pizzaz. Of course the Brilliant Blue is discontinued. The stamp is one I bought in Hot Springs. It is a Hero Arts clear stamp. The first time I stamped it in black and colored the flowers with a marker, then it occurred to me that I should have stamped in brown since it is a wreath. Looks much better! I bought the green rhinestones @ Mike's in their dollar bin.

Class card #1

I could not get in to my blog yesterday grrrrrrr!

We made this card in our Tues. class. It is an easel card. Looks intimidating but really isn't. The colors are Apricot and Eggplant. The doily is one of three that I got from Papertrey ink. The flower is a die cut from StampinUp. I do like these colors together. The Apricot is discontinued but I bet you could find something similar at any good paper store. I first made the background paper plain but thought it would look better if I embossed it, so I did. The folder is StampinUp. The stamp is a clear set from Hero Arts that I use a lot.

Inky Anticks New stamp set

Always before we go on a trip I check the net to see if there are any stamp/scrapbook stores in the area. Recently we were in Hot Springs Ak an I visited a stamping store. I bought 2 stamps that from Hero Arts that were on my wish list. I also bought this stamp set from Inky Anticks. I bought it because it of the saying "From one gray wrinkled thing to another, Happy Birthday:. Joe's birthday card for sure this year! All the stamps in this line were juvinal, not my thing but I bought it because in one of my Shoe Box groups our theme for the month was cards for kids. The picture on the front is not very clear but then you know how poor my camera skills are. They had a cupcake set and that's the one I probably should have gotten. Maybe down the road. They are clear stamps but stamp very well.

Shoe Box card

Here's the card I did for our Tues. Shoe Box Exchange. We all have the set called Elements of Style. I suggested that we all use that stamp set and see what we came up with. Here's mine using Cherry Cobbler, black and vanilla. I used black embossing powder on mine. Here's the inside of the card. I love this flourish stamp that is in the set.

Brown & Pink again

I really do like this color combination. The stamps are old. The hydrangea is Stampin Up and the background stamp is from Rubbernecker. Rubbernecker stamps are red rubber clings. They stamp really well and their service is excellent! I need to get some stamping done for class tomorrow.

May Swap Card

Here's one of my swap cards for May. You take a business class envelope and seal it, cut it in half using decorative scissors & scotch tape the bottom & adhere to the front and back of the inside, maybe half way up. This makes a pocket to fit a gift card in. When you lift the flap, you can see the pocket which holds a gift card. I really do love navy and yellow together. Hope you like it.

Pink and Gray

Here's the card I did for Shoe Box last month. I ran the patterned paper through the bug using an embossing folder. I did that because I thought it looked masculine. Probably thought that because I bought it to use for a VA card. Inside is a pop up just for something different. I really do like this color combo.

Bookmark card

This is a shoe box card I designed awhile ago. I have included a bookmark in birthday cards in several different ways. I'll have to try another version soon. Here's the card with the bookmark on the front. I double layered the "just for you" on the bottom so the bookmark didn't slip through. It did in the picture so maybe triple layer would have been better.

Way outta my color range

Hey there! Today I am showing you a card that I made for the VA guys. I never use orange. I dragged out my brayer for this one using a Kaleidacolor ink pad called Cappuccino Delight. It ranges from orange to brown. I really like this birthday sentiment.

Never inked

Here's a stamp I bought @ the convention. I thought it would be nice for the VA guys birthdays. I liked the way it turned out. I am trying to decorate the insides of my cards. Usually I just stamp a saying. I liked the torn vellum too.

I made this card for my VA buddies. Pretty simple. I am trying to use up some of my paper. I don't use 12x12 paper often because I really don't have a good place to store it. Out of site out of mind sorta thing.

Final card class card

This is a discontinued set from StampinUp. I bought it recently @ a stamp garage sale. I bought the DS paper there also. I love the swirl. I stamped the flower twice and popped the second one up. Pretty simple card. I used fired brick ink and stamped off then onto the paper. Pretty close match to the paper I thought. The label is new from StampinUp, a set of 4. I know I will use these a lot.

3rd class project

I just got Pear Pizzaz so to make this card I used it with Peach Parfait. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on each side and placed the stamped image in the middle. The tag is a Nestie Fancy Tags. I stamped off Really Rust and I think it is a close match with the Peach. I do that a lot. and it is amazing how close you can come to the paper color. --- Make sense? I love it when I can come close and not have to buy another stamp pad.

2nd class project

This is a new set from StampinUp called Aviary. I looked at it a long time before I made the plunge! Not that I have played with it I am glad I bought it. The cs is Rich Razzelberry, the background paper is from Hobby Lobby. Remember when I used the black & white polka dot so much with Cherry Cobbler. Well, I like this paper as much! Lots of layers and we stamped the inside as well as the envelope, fun!

Recent card class

Here's a card we did in my last class. I got the idea from a blog that I frequent Scrappin n Stampin in GJ. Thanks Becky! You stamp the image then ink the back of an embossing folder, then place the stamped image face down on the folder and then run it though the bug. Great look. I used perfect plum cs and Ranger inks, Concord crush then inked the folder with Milled Lavender. The label is a new Stamping Up set called 4 labels. Really like those
