Inspired by the ribbon

Here's a really simple card I made a long time ago. I loved the ribbon. No Cuttlebug! What was I thinking!

Another fall card

I made this card using a Magenta stamp. I was happy with the coloring of this leaf. Still way too hot here! Come on fall!

I'm ready for fall!

It has been so hot and humid here I am ready for cooler temps. I have been making some fall cards. Here's the one I did for shoe box last Sat.

Creole Spice stamp pad

Here's the last card we made. I had second thoughts about using this stamp pad. It could have easily gotten trashed but everyone listened to my instructions on how to use this pad and I was glad that I took the chance. This pad is beautiful with leaves. I have made a few fall cards and I will post them soon.

Crumb Cake & Baja Breeze

Our third card is from a new set that I just got. I really like these 2 colors together. The ladies were delighted when they took the second stamp off and saw the results.

Embrace Life stamp set

Here is the second card we made. I really like the simplicity of this card. I like all the flowers in this set and have used this particular flower lots of times.

Here are the cards we made in the class I just taught.

Card class

Nine ladies took this class. Most of the work was already done. All they had to do was stamp and assemble the cards. They all did very well. We made 4 cards and were finished by 11 o'clock. Here's the first one.

Is it fall yet?

Here's a card I made with a new technique, at least new to me. I stamped the leaf image (PSX) with Art Print brown Memories ink. To color the leaves I used my Versamark pen. The corner punch is an All Night Media punch that I am now using since I learned to punch upside down. Before using this method, I would get 3 perfect corners and on that wasn't. Very frustrating. Hummmm, maybe I will do all leaf themed cards for Sept.

Insppired by the ribbon

How do you all design a card? I sometimes start with a stamp, other times I choose a color scheme that I have not used in awhile. For this card the ribbon inspired me. We were working @ the point and I saw this ribbon and said oh, that would make a pretty card. It was given to me and I brought it home and made this card.

Happy Friday:

This is another card for the VA guys. This stamp is from The Angel Company. It has always been hard for me to get a good impression but I really like this stamp. The thread is metallic embroidery floss.

This is my favorite card for the VA guys. The circle gives it texture don't you think?

This stamp is from Rubbernecker. It is a solid stamp and I think it looks "rusty", old and worn. It is one of the birthday cards for the VA patients. Not my favorite but it OK.
