I made this card yesterday too. It is for my friend for her birthday. She loves red and I have a Tee shirt that has flip flops on it. When she said she liked my Tee shirt I had the perfect card for her. The flip flops are dies from Cuttlebug.

Wow I have 14 birthday cards to make for the VA hospital patients. I had better get crackin! I made a couple of cards yesterday. Here's one of them. I loved this DS paper. I thought it looked very masculine. Pretty Simple card.

Last year my Shoe Box group decided to have a sleep over. Well, I was lukewarm about that! We convened @ Pam's house on Fri. night and did some stamping, wine sampling, eating of course and talking. Has a ball! Buy Sat. afternoon we were all wiped out! We did that again this year. Here's one of the cards I brought for the gals to try. I first tried it on white card stock but decided I liked it better on navy. I saw this card on someones blog but couldn't find it again. All I remember is it was brown and the house part was sponged in a darker brown. Darn, I hate it when I do that, should have bookmarked it. Anyway, my card does not look a thing like the one I saw but I liked it. Whoever you are, thanks for the idea!

This was my July swap card. It is Razzleberry and white. The stamp is by A Muse. I am challenged by small stamps, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and it worked fairly well. I really need to use it more.

I am still challenged by this blog! HELP Celia!

I made this card for my shoe box group. Also, since I my muse went AWOL, I sent it to my second swap group this month. The background stamp is a Magenta stamp that I unmounted because the wood block was so big, I could hardly get my hands around it. I have a new purchase, as stamp press. I saw it on someones blog. Next time I was in Michael's I saw it. Works great! I plan to unmount all my large background stamps.
Have a happy day!

I love pink and brown together. This stamp set is a clear one from Hero Arts. I am not really sure I like the clear stamps. It seems to me that the ink just beads up on the stamp. I do like the red rubber unmounted ones.
On this card I was showing how you can use two different embossing folders on one card. The ink is a Kalidacolor inkpad called Baby Powder. Very soft.
Another card we made in this class. I love getting together with others to stamp. Denise suggested that we use a red rhinestone instead of the pearl that I had intended. The red stone made it really pop. Thanks Denise.
Here is the inside of the card. We used a Stampin Up die to make the flowers. The first card I made like this was a Valentine card. The inside was in the shape of a heart. Lots of possibilities for this don't you think?
Here's a card I did when I taught a class for some of my friends. The stamp set is a Stampin Up set called Greenhouse Garden.

Starting my blog

My friend Celia talked me into starting a blog. I make a lot of birthday cards each month and when people thank me for a card I have sent, most often I haven't a clue what I mailed. So this is my way of keeping track of the cards I make.
